Watch this 7 Minute Video to Learn about 3 “Can’t Miss”
Opportunities to Place Your Focus Over the Next Couple Weeks

Three Reasons Why Smart Beginners Operating Their Biz
on a Low Budget Should Tighten Their Focus, Bear Down and
Kick the Intensity Up a Notch!

This brief News post is about 3 things you can take part in (and we can all collaborate upon)

Any one of these three specific and ongoing events can significantly move you forward all by itself, but the combination of the three is a slam dunk, and I guarantee will significantly benefit you in many ways.

1). Smart Beginner training webinar series.

Over the next six or so weeks, I’ll guide you through core “must-have” fundamentals covering all the advantages of blogging, leverage points of internet marketing and the vitality in social media. EricWalker

***later I will update this link to reflect the ongoing training***

Your commitment will be 70 minutes once per week plus you can use what you learn and apply it to creating your own eBook. More than anything, this is about attendance (Showing up is 80% of the battle – participation is the other 20%)

I’ll cover the Five Simple Strategies to Make Your Blog Attractive for Your Target Audience at our Thursday, March 11th 6 pm PST webinar.

2). Jerry Chen has what I believe is the an OVERLOOKED training series inside of Renegade Professional. He’s created a series of four tutorials that leads you through the creation of your own eBook.

Learn more about the eBook contest

JerryChen(1)

An eBook can be a powerful branding tool, a free give-away, a low ticket product to sell, or any number of things. At the very least, the exercise will force you to put the audience you seek to connect with under the microscope. (that is a good thing :)  )

Renegade Professional is holding a contest to spotlight this terrific training. One person will win free custom-designed graphics for their eBook.

Read the announcement about the Renegade Professional eBook Contest. This article will tell you everything–
Renegade Professional eBook Contest

Your commitment will be approximately two weeks of consistent, semi-daily practice so you finish and APPLY what you learn with Jerry Chen

3). Join the Conversation with Mike Klingler at his FB page.

I know for a fact that Mike is going to be “hanging his hat” at his Facebook Page, and using these discussion threads as a means to teach you all the things he’s quietly been learning and observing the last few months. Mike Klingler

You’re going to want to “hang around” the Discussion forums to glean wisdom, apply what you learn, and join both this conversation and the awesome community supporting it.

Your commitment is as much or as little as you like. Some days you might spend  an hour or more. While other days, 20 minutes

Let’s Review–

2. Smart Beginner Training
3. Creating Your own eBook

5. Don’t miss the BIG News Below

Often times if you can carve out a short period of relative intensity toward your efforts over the course of  two weeks, four weeks and/or six weeks, I guarantee you the mini-burst can provide you significant progress.

The kind of progress where you look back from where you are now, to where you will be, and be on top of your goals.

Oh By the Way! I Just Received an Email
from Mike Klingler that He Wanted Me to Relay

Hey Eric,

In case I don’t see you at the office today, I am super-confident that we can let something out of the bag… Go ahead and tell everyone at Renegade Professional News that we’re going to have another Live Event in June.

I don’t have many more details than that… Tell them that when we know, we’ll let them know. More than anything, I want our community to have it on their radar screens.

We had such a great time at our Live Event in January that I want to immediately make this opportunity open to others. Hope to see more familiar faces.

Another thing I realized is that if we’re going to really lead this entrepreneurial movement, then we’re going to have iterate these live events often.

So not sure what you can do with all this. I just want everyone to know we’re shooting for another Live Event in June.

Thanks,

Mike

  1. Honestly…it was a great time in January. But I also think their is something to be said for scarcity and yearly events, etc….My initial feeling, even though I loved the live event :) , is that it’s too soon to replay and that it may not have the same impact, nor the same type of crowd…I know that I’ve got it on my schedule again for January 2011..and looking forward to it. Just my 2 cents…could be wrong. :(

  2. Hi, Mike (and Eric)-

You know, when I met both of you at the live event in Portland (not being involved with network marketing) I barely knew who you were…how I came to be there is a long story…but just say that it was a spur-of-the moment, “just have a feeling I should do this” decision not based on anything but a vague but respectful awareness of Anne Sieg and a gut instinct that you all had something really valuable to offer.

Pretty much also the story of my fast and furious entry into the Renegade world a few months ago…and what great decisions those were…it just goes to show that sometimes you really do see something you’ve never seen – it just makes so much sense that’s the logic is undeniable – and going with it can change your life for the better.

I’m still in the cocoon when it comes to being a Renegade and establishing an automated online business (my goal)but everything I’m learning at Renegade Professional and in Coaching Cognition is actually helping me do, be, think and communicate better in my business and personal life.

Meeting the people and absorbing such sheer inspiration threw the switch in Portland and ever since I’ve been buzzing (not in a getting electrocuted sort of way) but in the sense of making incredible progress. It’s like I see everything in a new light. I’ve reorganized the way I do my current business, completely revamped my office, and found new partners (now that I know what a JV is.)

I credit going to the Live Event as the start of it all, because it proved that what you’re saying is real and somehow gave me the confidence to break out of my self-created rut and go for it. Now I’m charting out a framework for my first eBook and I’m looking forward to going through the training on that. I suddenly feel completely confident that I can do this. Believing creates achieving, right?

Anyway, aside from being a rousing endorsement of your live events, great people and teaching methods, this is also a request that you consider holding future events on the East Coast. I’d really like to be able to attend more!

  3. @Laurel Underwood,

WOW! What great words that warm all of our hearts here in Portland and make us want to continue to (over) deliver. This is the kind of thing that makes us totally love what we do.

And you are good, that little touch at the end about holding future live events on the East coast is compelling to say the least.

Thank you Laurel for commenting the News. Come back often and keep us abreast of your success.

  4. @ Deborah — We’re not planning on designing this event the same way. In fact, we’re going to model more of what we did on Monday (the day after many left the Live Event but where some remained for ‘the circle’ sit down)… That’s when we really made some progress because we were able to look at people’s sites, blogs, social media content, lead captures, etc and help them uniquely.

We’re going to take everything we learned at the first live event and make this one even better.

It won’t be for everyone, or necessary for everyone–but remember, for every person you saw there in January, there were at least 5 more who wished they could have made it.

Likely we won’t allow as many at this next one…

But we’ve already had a lot of people say they’re coming so its definitely a need. If not, we wouldn’t do it!

It was great getting to meet you guys there and looking forward to meeting more of you, and seeing some of you again!

    Mike

  5. @Laurel, thank you for sharing that.

I really love what you said here as it gets to the core of why we’re doing this again (for those who couldn’t make the first one):

“Meeting the people and absorbing such sheer inspiration threw the switch in Portland and ever since I’ve been buzzing (not in a getting electrocuted sort of way) but in the sense of making incredible progress. It’s like I see everything in a new light. I’ve reorganized the way I do my current business, completely revamped my office, and found new partners (now that I know what a JV is.)”

    Thanks for sharing!

  6. You know, Eric, it doesn’t matter if one is just beginning or a seasoned marketer, what you are offering is great for all. It helps us to focus on what is important to get results rather than get caught in the mire of information overload.

  7. Greetings fellow Renegades!

It’s really exciting to see that more live events are in the works.

When I was reading Deborah’s comment, I was initially agreeing with what she was saying… the idea that a large style event seems to be best suited for a once a year or twice a year occasion.

But since Mike let loose with some info. on how future events might be structured, I can definitely see the value of having smaller events (almost like a workshop type of set-up) more frequently throughout the year, and possibly taking place in different locations each time.

These types of workshop events structured throughout the year would continually give newer Renegades, who might be getting their feet wet for the first time in learning how to build a business online, the chance to attend a live event much sooner than the once a year occasion and make the experience of online business building much more real to them.

I think everybody can agree on this one, that the power of bridging the gap between online interaction and in-person interaction can’t be overstated.

For many individuals, this is what cements the whole deal for them… that by building a business online you are indeed building tangible relationships in the real world.

Just wanted to share my thoughts on something that I feel is very important!

    Take care everyone,

    Patrick

  10. @Kevin Thomas,

Then I am counting you in Kevin!

  11. @ Pat, we’re leaning toward June 26th and 27th with people arriving on Friday — and Sunday will be a half day so people can connect up afterward and get back home Sunday evening.

This will be more of a work shop like we did with 10 people here in Portland office after January main Live event had ended. It was powerful!

@ Kevin and Patrick, right on!

  12. I was not able to make the event in January, so am looking forward to the next one – glad I don’t have to wait a full year!

Have you thought of holding an event in a different location, like the middle of the country? It would make it a little easier for people on the east coast. Wherever you have it, it is well worth the trip, just thought that it might be nice to nice it around sometimes.

  13. When making plans for the June event, I am hoping you will consider having it on a Wed-Fri or Sun-Wed. I am unable to attend Saturdays but would love to come.

  14. I think it is interesting that we are using the word “community” more and more – as in “The Renegade Community.” This is a good thing on so many levels. For one thing it is a true representation of what takes place. The Renegade Professional isn’t just about training, even if that is what might draw many people to the site for the first time. Even though that may have been the original vision for the site.

We know that the site has evolved and will continue to to so. But the aspect of community has taken a life of its own! Mike’s leadership in all of this is amazing. Have you considered how unlike other gurus Mike is? While firmly in control of his vision, he fearlessly promotes, encourages, and spotlights the members. As does his close associates.

I have written an extensive article about the way in which online “communities” can foster collaboration, focusing on The Renegade Professional as an example.

I would invite you to read it, rate it, and comment upon it.

  15. Richard, as I mentioned at the Facebook page where I saw your original post, as well as at the Hub where you linked to…

Keep it up! Your focus on teaching the power of collaboration, what it is and isn’t–and emphasis on community is a fantastic niche.

Next step is to sell your message. That’s last step after having tremendous value to teach and a niche (which u have a great one).

Thank you for all you do!
    Mike

  16. Wow. This is fantastic. I will be on the West coast that weekend but in CA for a family reunion. If my plans change I will be in Portland instead. Sounds like this event will get into the “nuts and bolts” of the business!

What People Are Saying...

Hi Mike,
I just finished sending Scott Rogers an email letting him know how much I’m enjoying the tutorials. I told him that you’re in my office so often that I may start charging you rent :-)

I upgraded to Professional on Monday and followed the checklist. I even created my personal website. I have just completed the Squidoo 1-4 webinars. Absolutely everything was new for me.

Love the way you teach and how thorough you are. I’ve been able to apply everything you’ve taught on the first try. I’m following your advice about not expecting too much too soon but I gotta tell you, it feels great to have something out there. I’m planning to write my next article about the university. I figure that my enthusiasm will spill over on the pages.
