Hi Mike,

I’ve come back to this post several times and each time it has a little more meaning for me in the context of what I am learning each day.

For example, it’s no accident that you choose the word ‘Focus’ when you introduce the ‘essential list’.

Like most people, I am not good at multi-tasking.

It seems to me that I should focus on ‘listening’ (both to my intuition and my target audience) and only then offer value to the best of my ability.

In the past, I have tried to force the pace of my progress instead of following my intuition.

I have listened to my inner chatter, instead of listening to the person I am talking to.

I have not offered sufficient value before asking for value in return.

I have tried to do it all myself without cultivating partnerships.

We learn all these things the hard way, until someone like you points out the obvious path ahead.

Thanks for these valuable ‘insights’ or should I say ‘essentials’!

Hi Mike,
In part of your article you said: ” I wasn’t ready to look! ” Such depth of meaning and so true for so many of us, ME included.

I thought that if I I kept going over and over the trainings I would GET IT but I was left wondering what I was doing wrong when nothing was happening. Why weren’t things happening for me when I was such an admirer and follower of Mike’s wonderful system.

Finally, finally the penny has dropped and the Essential List will now be my bible . These are things that many of us know and have probably used in other jobs but for some reason we put them in the back of our minds so our work becomes SOULESS and we forget to work on ourselves.

That is where I found myself to be.
This is a real wake up call.

Here is my bible for the future and the skills I must now hone.

- An ability to influence others
– An ability to choose the right opportunities for you
– An ability to create and communicate value
– An ability to attract people to you through networking and marketing
– An ability to cultivate partnerships

When we all get these essentials ingrained in our hearts and minds the world will truly be our oyster and a better place to live.

I briefly read this the first time. I came back to it again several times. This time It hit my heart. I have been focusing on learning the essential list the last month. Here are the words to show I’m on the right path. I went to the Get Motivated seminar last week which was amazing! I saw short cuts and when I really thought about it I realized there is no short cut. You have been saying that since I have been reading your emails the last year. Thank you for all you do Mike.

Thank you Mike, you are 24h a day present in my head. You are sharing rainbows, false shortcuts and burn-outs with us and many of us do identify with your story. You are sharing the Nº1 Essentials List with us which we will take by heart and follow. But how will we ever be able to create the link between business and the thoroughly human touch you are bringing into it ? That will be the real short cut we will have to find for ourselves.

Hi Mike,
I love this piece you’ve written because it is such a motivating piece.

It makes me feel like I’m not the only one going through a rough time and that rough times help to bring you back to the core essentials of business. In fact, now I have a better perception of what I should entirely focus on, which are;

* A keen Insight.
* An ability to influence others.
* An ability to choose the right opportunities for you.
* An ability to create and communicate value.
* An ability to attract people to you through networking and marketing.
* An ability to cultivate partnerships.

This is the definitely the mantra of succeeding online.

Instinctively this has been my mentality especially in the 4 months I have been with the Renegade Professional. I strongly believe in the Renegade Professional and I strongly believe I am attaining success (almost like I can touch it).

Also, a formula that keeps ringing in my head is one you so passionately teach, which is this;

Training + Little Action = Nothing

A lot of Action + Little Training = Frustration

A Balance of Training + Consistent Action = Massive Predictable “effortless” Success

It feels good to hear this story and makes any kind of business more enjoyable. I am into this and won’t stop because providing value to others is something that is needed in the network Marketing community.

I have been been down for the count before like most but finding an opportunity to help you focus on your essential list makes so much sense. I see what it is doing for people that tap into it and I hope everybody gets a chance to look into this way of doing business.

Wow! How grateful I am to have come across this community.

Jim Rohn has always said, “work harder on yourself than you do on your job”.

Mike just gave us key areas to do this that will make all the difference.

I was blown away by the article, but then, as I read the comments, I realized that each person was stacking value, upon value, upon value.

Thanks to everyone for the abundance mentality that is so prevalent in this community.

“I’ve gotta make this work”…That’s how I feel right now.

I think that all of us have felt that way at one point or another.

That’s why we tend to chase rainbows. Because we’re desperately seeking that “shortcut”.

That “one thing” that will make all the difference, never realizing that it’s right under our nose.

Here’s to the success of each person that so desperately wants and needs it.

Here’s to preaching the truth…that each of us, are capable of “creating rainbows”.

I think, duplication, real duplication, only happens as fast as we realize this for ourselves and then help others within our teams to realize the same truth.

It’s not an easy process. But it’s worth it.
