So here’s the update…I’ve heard from Donny’s manager who at this moment has politely declined the interview. Does that mean it’s over? No. These things come to fruition in their own time. If this interview is meant to happen, meaning there is value to be had for both Donny and for my clients, it will happen at the right time.

I’ll continue to give my support anyway because I really do respect what Donny has done with his life and career.

Meanwhile, I have been in touch with Donny’s older son who is involved with Movember – a cause for men’s health issues. Having lost my brother to prostate cancer, this is something I can authentically support regardless of Donny interview outcomes.

I’ve also heard from Brandon Osmond who is an amazing photography student. We are talking about possibly doing a shoot. Since Brandon is expressing himself through his photography, it is very important that the relationship developed here be completely separate from his dad. I will not be asking Brandon for the “inside” route to Donny.

Rather, I look at this as perhaps what was meant to happen all along. I had a deeply emotional response to Brandon’s work and I would not have found him if it wasn’t for doing research on the Osmonds.

The point is your path to a goal may take unexpected turns. Look at each detour and evaluate it – will it help you reach your goal or to set a new one? Is it a complete detour best left alone?

Set a time frame for your goals, but if you don’t achieve the goal within the time you set, that’s okay. You just keep plugging away knowing that all things will come when the time is right!

Barbara,
That’s what I love about what you’ve taught me about coaching. It’s not about me. I want it to be about the client, and feel the tremendous satisfaction when the client receives what they need. “That” gives me what I want.
So, when Donny feels your true intent: to give without want, how can he say no? (The formula’s going to work!)

This is such a great article on many levels and clearly demonstrates how we should all be doing our marketing.

We have all posted our intent to the Universe. All you need to do now is have interview prepared as soon as that phone rings. Ring! Ring!

I’ve booked my flight to meet you at the Live event to hear all about your encounter with Donny!

Donny brings so much to the discussion on coaching. Man, he endures 7 hours a day of being told what to do and how to make that dance work. I can hardly imagine the intensity… while having fun, and making something happen he perhaps never imagined.

I love how you identified how a plan should revolve. Especially, in taking action once it evolutionize.
Barbara, I truly believe in what you said about making a plan public. Because once it’s public, you’ve decided to commit to it.

Barbara you have always been one to set your sets and achieving them and this is no different. Setting an intent or goal and going after it will always produce the desired impact.

I truly believe that what you are setting out to do here is no different and it is going to be reality even before you are really there.

Barbara, Your formula for getting the interview with Donny Osmond, or for setting and achieving any goal for that matter is spot on. The two most important steps though are trusting your intuition and setting your intention.

Too many times we don’t listen to our own inner voice. We all know what to do if we’d just trust ourselves to do it. Thanks for a great post.
