Basic Information About Coaching Cognition Certification
The coaching training is being designed to meet the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) standards. We will continue to build out our course offerings in order to become accredited through ICF.
This will allow those who wish to be certified as a professional coach through ICF to be eligible after graduating from Coaching Cognition.  This will, of course, take a bit of time, but we are ready and able to meet these goals.
Becoming an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) involves going through a rigorous but stimulating course of study along with documentation of coaching completed and received, and a required number of hours of supervised coaching by a Mentor Coach (MCC).
In order to serve as a Core Coach and participate in the training of other coaches at Coaching Cognition it will be necessary to hold ICF certification.
For those who wish to begin their coaching practice and start monetizing right away, the requirements are that you hold the Coaching Cognition Certification.
This means you will have completed the 12 part series and the accompanying assignments to be offered beginning in late October. This will allow you to coach Renegade Professional clients.  Should you decide you wish to continue your own training and qualify for ICF certification, we will support you in doing that as well.
Quick FAQ Regarding the Submission of Video Tutorials
Several folks have asked about submitting the three video tutorials which are highly suggested for coaching candidates.
You don’t need to worry about this yet.  If you decide you want to take the training with the end goal of becoming a Coaching Cognition Coach, we will take care of this after you fulfill your requirements to be Coaching Cognition certified.  Lots more information on this to come.
If you wish to take the training for your own personal development, you will not have to concern yourself with the video creations – that will all be part of the next step AFTER the training.

Coaching Cognition Testimonials

“Discover the Benefits of Bringing Out the Best in Someone with True Listening”

Develop the mindset and eye of a coach and make it so all your interactions take on more meaning.

Claire Covington

Claire discusses,

“How developing the mindset and eye of a coach makes it so all of interactions take on more meaning, because when you can really focus in with someone and treat them as if they are the most important person in the world, it does wonderful things for self esteem and confidence building …

… Barbara’s ability to be with you, to be with the people she’s working with — it’s like pouring sunshine on somebody, one can’t help but bubble up; one can’t help but to really see that they are more than they thought they were, or knew they were…”

“The Coaching Cognition Platform Under the Umbrella of Renegade Professional is the Best Thing That’s Happened to My Coaching Business”

It’s been a treat sharpening our skills together under Barb Silva’s tutelage.”

Curt Johnson

Curt discusses,

Why he loves working with a group of kindred spirited talented coaches…
How, as a result of the way Coaching Cognition is set up, when working with a client that client can get help from other coaches or refer them onto another coach who has more expertise — it’s all win win because any client he works with he knows he can help.

“Discover the Systematic Approach of Coaching, and How Coaches Training will Personaly Help Your Business”

I almost immediately secured two new addtional clients who’ve never met me before with the information I learned from only two webinars.

Jerry Chen

Jerry discusses,

How he was able to go deeper into the relationship building process to find out exactly what his clients were looking for so he could deliver maximum value and maximum return on their investment (which is his coaching time).

…How the role playing webinars helped him get a better sense of how to build rapport and discover the needs of his clients…

…Why coaches training like this is worth tens of thousands of dollars for anyone who wants to get into a coaching role or receive coaching from the program because the Coaching Cognition coaches are the cream of the crop (due to the nature of the training that they’re receiving).

“The Coaching Cognition Platform Allows the Coach to Focus on Their Core Competencies which is to Solely Deliver Value to the Client in the Form Top Quality Coaching”

I only have to focus on delivering value to my coaching clients. I don’t have to worry about all the administrative pieces of a real coaching business.

Mike Wilson

Mike discusses,

The benefits of having the billing handled, not having to build his own coaching system or tools that go with building a systematic coaching business …

How everything that is needed to be a successful coach can be located on the Coaching Cognition platform, and all he has to focus on is the value of delivering top notch coaching.

How he has the freedom to focus on the customer without having to worry about all the extraneous details that are involved with a coaching business.

“Barbara Silva Has Shown Me What I Can Be (and Do) as a Coach and a Business Person”

Barbara has the ability see and help you see your self worth and your awareness of those. The Coaching Cognition program builds upon this foundation.

Lane Romero-Reiss

Lane discusses,

How with Coaching Cognition, you can know a lot about certain niches, but you don’t have to feel as if you know everything about everything…because everybody is helping everybody out – there is no competition.

It’s the very nature of the way Coaching Cognition is set up that you’re going to get your needs met and (as a coach) don’t have to feel as if one person has to meet all your needs. THIS “We, Inc.” model serves the customer/client in a big way.

Barbara – pure genius in the way she put Coaching Cognition together… she really wants to find a way to help everyone – both coaches and people getting the coaching.

“My Goal is to Help People Move onto the Internet to Build their Businesses Online — Coaching Cognition Has Been the Most Important Thing I Have Done”

I feel like this is the most important thing (Coaching Cognition) I’ve done other than partnering with Mike Klingler in the beginning.

Shelly Begarowicz

Shelly discusses,

When you learn how to coach people; to ask questions; to get to them to find the answers (and understandings) from within, it builds self confidence, and that makes you a better teacher, better leader. When you feel confident in yourself, it shows, everyone sees it, and that transforms your business – you just have that much more to offer.

“Coaching Cognition has Positively Affected Me and the Way I Do My Business”

Coaching starts with your relationships and the way you carry the knowledge you learn and how you apply that knowledge with your friends, family, business partners, clients and customers (everyone).

Becky Joubert

Becky discusses,

How she learned that coaching starts with your relationships and the way you carry the knowledge you learn and how you apply that knowledge with your friends, family, business partners, clients and customers (everyone).

…One of the huge bonuses of working with peer partners (peer coaches) where she participated in solving each others problems. Not only do she get to help other people work through their issues, help them solve their problems and smash the barriers that keep them from doing well in their business and relationships, she got her problems solved as well.

Becky is pleased with the direction Coaching Cognition has moved her as a successful marketer. She now sees coaching as the missing link that fills in everything that is needed to be a successful marketer and is able to offer that aspect to customers/clients.

“Save Time and Effort, Increase Pleasure by Eliminating the Traditional Pains of a Coaching Business – Focus on Coaching Value & Make Money”

I found a lot more value in working with another person one on one as opposed to buying product after product, ebook upon ebook and listening to personal development.

Eric Walker

Eric discusses,

The insights he’s gained with being a good listener, and how these listening skills have assisted with efficiency.

…How to address and diffuse anger and frustration while still being productive with a coaching session. It’s this skill that has also transferred itself into Eric’s personal relationships and made a positive impact.

…How learning by doing – working in peer coaching groups – has “doubled up” the learning so it’s not only absorbing learning, it’s also a reinforcement of the coaching lessons that Barbara presents from each coaching module.

…How not having to deal with all the administrative “stuff” of a coaching business is eliminated, and the only thing that he has focus on is being ready to coach.

“Feel Confident in the Quality of Coaching Sessions You Provide, Identify Needs with Ease, Find the Right Solutions to Help People Get Where they Want to Go Faster”

I have become a better person and a better leader today than I was before I met Barbara Silva.

Didi Alcheva

Didi discusses,

…the sandwiching technique that she learned from Barbara, and how it has made a positive impact on the way she interacts with her relationships, teammates, customers and prospects, and how she is deliberately remembering to use it.

…the W-A-I-T technique (Why Am I Talking) – how that has been of extreme value to Didi, and that now it’s becoming a habit (an excellent characteristic).

…how she is grateful to Coaching Cognition for simply sending her new clients.

“If You Understand the Value of Coaching Skills and How You Can Benefit to Be a Coach, You Must Look at Coaching Cognition”

Barbara is providing us with all the skills we need to become great coaches – whether we have 20 years of coaching experience or we have none. It’s amazing.

Cindy Schulson

Cindy discusses,

What coaching means for your business…

-helping somebody find the right path
-helping somebody find the answers and understandings inside of them
-helping them achieve their goals faster
-being a partner who walks beside them to reach goals and dreams.
-develop stronger relationships

Learning these coaching skills is something that you’re going to carry with you no matter what business you’re in.

How she is excited to merry internet marketing with network marketing and coaching, and how all these skills work together in a synergistic way. And now with Coaching Cognition platform, all these things come together.

“I Saw My Family Through Different Eyes”

I shared with my wife some of the different stories you (Barbara) had shared, and how people hear different things, and how important it is to communicate so people understand what it is you’re saying. And also, to hear what people are saying to you as well.

Adrian Schleis

Adrian discusses,
The importance that Barbara’s two webinars had on his perspective toward family. Adrian brings his son, Hunter, on screen and asks him how he likes it when his dad pays attention to him.

The momentum behind the Coaching Cognition launch is like that of a tiny snowball, coming down Mount Everest.

I’ve seen excitement about it everywhere – from Twitter to Better Networker.

Well done in not only CREATING VALUE with this certification program, but also COMMUNICATING that value.

Know that we are in full support of your efforts, and stand ready to assist in whatever small way we can. Proof-reading, proof-listening ;) , or getting the word out.

  2. After attending Barbara Silva’s classes on coaching, I had to put on the brakes. It was necessary to rethink my plan and how I was approaching it. I am grateful to Barbara Silva and really excited that I am part of a community where she has hung her hat. I’m really looking forward to Coaching Cognition. Barbara Silva is definitely the person to be leading this and to be learning from. Great Job!

  3. After attending Barbara Silva’s coaching webinars, I had to stop the press. I realized how much I misunderstood of what a coach does and just how valuable they are in one’s business and personal life. Immediately, I signed up to start with Coaching Cognition. I’m really looking forward to working with a top leader like Barbara Silver.

  4. I recently had the privilege of participating in a conference call with Ann Sieg. I shared with her these coaching sessions are what I have been waiting for all my life. I should clarify that statement, all my marketing life.

I knew one day something would come along and everything would fit into place. When I heard Barbara on the first webinar I knew at that moment my pieces were all coming together. I immediately made an urgent plea to get me in the first session.

I am excited beyond measure waiting to begin.

  5. I am just as excited as everyone else! When I see the incredible people that are wanting to get on board with Coaching Cognition I can hardly get to sleep at night.

I can’t wait to have the opportunity to work more closely with you and to share the coaching experience.

I am also happy to share with you that my daughter, Kendall, has come on board and is lending her considerable expertise in helping to create some of the materials you will be receiving as a part of the training. Kendall has an extensive coaching and counseling background. As she likes to say, she and I are “so related!” and it has been an absolute pleasure to share with her our vision.

Every step of the way, Coaching Cognition is opening doors of opportunity for so many. I am truly blessed and honored to be a part of such an outstanding community.

  7. When I started about a year and half ago, I had no clue what marketing online was like. It has been a sobering but also exhilarating experience and continues to be so.

Now that I have found a home as a Renegade super guide and understand the importance of giving more value than I take, I want to share my experience with others and help them to cut out what’s not important and focus on what’s real for them.

The Coaching Cognition program will be where I learn those skills. I can hardly contain myself!

    Comment by Marie Leonard — September 21, 2009 @ 6:14 am

  8. I have totally enjoyed getting to understand the process involved relative to the up and coming coaching and how everything is tying into the overall Renegade Professional philosophy/community: excellence in action!

    Comment by Lee Wise — September 21, 2009 @ 9:10 am

  9. I have read that Winston Churchill, had prepared his famous quotes in advance, waiting for the right moment to deliver them. I do not know if it is true or not, yet I intuitively happened on to this one that perfectly describes my feeling when, you Barbara, offered the Coaching Cognition Certification Classes.

“All People occasionally stumble across the truth, but most pick themselves up and continue as if nothing had happened” Winston Churchill

I knew that I didn’t want to ‘stumble across the truth’ and act ‘as if nothing has happened’ ….

I would say to anyone else that feels that intuitive pull…. to get on board with Coaching Cognition… because I believe you have stumbled across your truth..

    Tom

    Comment by Tom Renfro — September 21, 2009 @ 9:50 am

  10. What a wonderful quote, Tom! I’ll have to keep that one handy. And isn’t it true?

I have become keenly aware of the doors that open. I know they must have always been there, but I never saw them before. Things really started to happen when I plucked up the courage to walk through.

Now, I get to stand at the door, waving others inside.

Lee, “excellence in action” is what I see in our community as well. Rosemary, and Marie, Warren, Patty, Bolaji and Donnalynn – your very names are bringing up for me the image of excellence.

I look forward to learning from each one of you.

And here’s my quote to share…I found it on one of my favorite teacher sites: A teacher’s (coach) purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image. -Anonymous This is what Mike Klingler does every day!

    Comment by Barbara Silva — September 22, 2009 @ 10:26 am

  11. Barb – I feel honored to have been a member of the first coaching class. It is a fantastic experience and you could probably market the course as a coaching and self-development class. The interaction we had with each other and with you really helped to make the training a real life experience. In my mind you are the “coach’s coach”.

    Comment by David Enders, D.C. — September 25, 2009 @ 11:10 am

  12. Coaching is so vital in an organization learning how to bring someone from where they are to where they want to be. Having this available to us as Renegade Professionals is just amazing, just like Barbara Silva.
If there is anyone that knows the “Esstentials” of business it is Barbara. We are so fortunate to have “Coaching Cognition” so close at hand.

Barbara it is so wonderful that you too get to share so much of what you do with your daughter and your daughter able to share so much with you. Family in motion for others to succeed.

    Comment by Angela James — September 25, 2009 @ 1:26 pm

  13. Stay tuned, Angela, for my interview with Kendall coming up in the next issue. If we can ever stop laughing together, we’ll get it done in time!

In all seriousness, she has brought a wealth of knowledge to the program and I am most grateful she has decided to put herself into the content development the way she has.

David, as I listen to the coaching calls we have already done, I am impressed all over again with the steady, calm and insightful style of your coaching. I’m the one who is honored!

Barbara Silva is a clear leader and teacher to be the “Coaches Coach” as is clear in the 2 “pre” classes that are above if you haven’t watched them yet.

    I can’t wait until we start :)
    Kathy

    Comment by Kathy Beaman — September 26, 2009 @ 10:27 pm

  16. I’m grateful and proud to have been a member of the first coaching class.

I remember first hearing about the opportunity and being immediately excited by the vision … or what I knew of the vision at the time. What I knew then was more than enough to get me involved.

What I did not anticipate was how much I would learn from interacting with other people in the group. Every single person is an expert in their own right and brings experience and perspective. The learning opportunity is much bigger and broader than I realized at the beginning.

Coaching Cognition keeps growing, not just because more top quality people are getting involved every day, but also because Barbara continues to define the scope and communicate the vision.

I look forward to seeing, and interacting with, the new coaches coming on.

“there comes a point where you must know how to effectively communicate or you limit yourself”

This is true not only in marketing, but in life relationships.

I love my girlfriends who speak piles of good and sometimes hard things into my life to make me a better person.

I know that participating in Coaching Cognition and being another person “leaning” on Barbara’s “post” is going to be a journey, sometimes hard work, but worth it all.

  33. I see some questions about the live calls — I am very mindful that we have members from all over the world. I will be offering different time slots to accommodate time zones.

For the calls themselves, I use Skype. Once in a while the call drops, or there is an echo, but it has been very reliable and it’s very easy to immediately call back in should someone get dropped off the call.

I’m also recommending a headset and microphone like logitech. There is a button which makes muting and unmuting very easy – this is important when there are several people interacting on a call. The headset also allows my hands to be free to take notes!

Thank you all for your continued feedback. We should be getting this show on the road within the next few days! :)

Not to say that the course isn’t good and profitable but why do must you resort to such juvenile manipulation to get one to sign up? I already bought “The Renegade Marketer” from Ann Sieg. From what I had time to read thus far, she sounds like a great person, genuine and very upfront. I don’t think that this would be her idea of smart marketing.

  37. Teri,

Not sure exactly what you’re referring to.

We have 700 people on a Live Webinar right now with Ellie Drake, who is giving some phenomenal tips about how to coach.

Yes, if someone would like to plug into our community there is a cost so we can operate the business and offer free resources like tonight!

  38. Hi Mike; The red “oval” in the box that invites us to put our name and Email address right beside Barbara’s video is where it said: “Click here to access FREE coaches training” is what gave me the wrong idea. I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

  39. Teri,

    I get it.

There was a bug on this page:
    http://renegadeuniversity.com/event/coachingskills/

After you submit the contact info on that page you are supposed to see the webinar FREE. For some weird reason, which no one can now explain to me, there was only an order form there to join Renegade Professional.

Bad mistake on our part… it worked initially. When we changed servers recently some think that caused this.

I am sending an email now to everyone on that list to make sure they can access that webinar.

Yah, that kind of a strategy would not work to generate sales. Ugh. Not good. It is now corrected.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  40. Having attended all the Webinars and having examined the full extent of the course, I have absolutely no doubt that Coaching Cognition will offer exceptional value. Relative to what a lot of other inferior products cost out there, the price is amazingly low. I am also pleased to see that there is a reasonable payment plan.

I am a paying member of Renegade Professional with a lot of prior teaching/training experience. I also realize I have a lot to share and give back with others, so am positive Coaching Cognition would be one of the best things for me to do to help facilitate this.

I have yet to become what I would consider a successful home business owner so using the skills I do have together with what I would learn as a Coaching Cognition coach would I am sure be an ideal way to make some additional income apart from the home business option.

With all of the above said, I can’t do it, even at the low price. As low as the price is, it’s still a relative figure and to me I just don’t have it. I would love to be able to find the money but I cannot run up any more debt as I have done enough of that on this journey.

I am sure there are many other people in the same situation as me so I was wondering in the future whether “Marketing Merge” would consider some alternative avenue for those of us who are totally cash strapped and not even able to afford the low price? I have three ideas –

I am thinking that perhaps you could offer one position on the course as a competition prize. The competition could be anything from making a video, writing a response or even coming up with a landing page ‘dummy’ which the entrant would have to use to explain why they should be chosen as the winner. I am sure this could also become a great marketing awareness tool for Coaching Cognition.

A second idea is that “Marketing Merge” could offer a ’scholarship’ type award of one position on a course. Those wanting to be considered would have to demonstrate in some way what they had done to give back to others for nothing and in so doing qualify to be considered for the ’scholarship’ position.

Thirdly maybe a “pay forward” option of being sponsored up front and then as a coach paying back the fee. In other words paying back more to Marketing Merge than the current structure in place for paying students.

Well thanks for reading this anyway. The course looks great. All my best wishes to those involved.

  41. Hi Ann, Mike and Barbara,

I loved the webinar Tuesday night and am truly looking forward to meeting everyone at the live event in January. I have coaching experience, a successful home-based business and I believe this Coaching Cognition training is going to elevate me to incredible heights. I am excited to become certified and have set a goal of becoming a Coach’s Coach – in writing.

Also, when can I expect information on the Orientation class tonight (Thursday)?

    Thanks for everything.

What People Are Saying...

I am loving the system! I can't stop thinking about it, and when I'm not going through the tutorials, all I can think about is finding time to get back to it. Keep up the good work!
