If you’re training has been a success, and you’re getting along with Renegade Professional, and building your business, much of what I’m saying here will elicit an “Hmm hmm” with head-nodding agreement.

But if not, if you’ve been floundering, and picking and poking around at the vast array of click by click training in your back office but only getting the breadth, not depth, this email is for your eyes. Read closely.

Because today I want to stress the importance of customizing and personalizing your Renegade Professional training.

This is an aspect of your Renegade Professional training that Mike Klingler talked heavily about to membership at the end of the year before he closed Renegade Professional for relaunch with Ann Sieg. He hosted a webinar. I’m going to refer to this webinar  and much more.

Own Your Renegade Professional Training

The most successful people, not just from the internet realm, but all walks of life – whether it be insurance sales in a small Nebraska town or making movies in Hollywood, or whether it’s old school offline Network Marketing or internet affiliate marketing, it comes down to ONE thing and ONE thing only…

Ownership.

And you can only “own” it if you customize and personalize your training so it’s tailored just for you.

Think about it in another way…

When you were in high school, or if you went to college, or perhaps if you received any advanced training for a career – what was the first thing you did?

You signed up for those classes and you knew specifically what you wanted to achieve; you knew specifically what the outcome would be if you made it through.

When I knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher, I met with a counselor – found someone who would guide me. I then continued to find smart people whom I respected who would listen to my goals, answer my questions and lift me up (as opposed to bring me down).

Meanwhile, I took the appropriate classes that I knew would lead toward my vision of being “Mr. Walker,” the amazing, high energy, funny but strict 5th grade teacher who made the kids write a lot.

Things get clear real quick when you approach your internet attraction marketing/internet business in this same way.

BUT… this is exactly where so many fall short.

You won’t  fall short when you personalize and customize your training.

If you’re with Renegade Professional, you’ll find this training EXTREMELY helpful, but if you’re not, it’s still EXTREMELY helpful.

You might be taking Traffic Formula 2, or you might just be getting started with Magnetic Sponsoring or the Renegade books. It could be PPC, or learning how to leverage Social Media Marketing.

Either way, the recorded webinar I’m about to reference is all about focus.

It’s all about aligning YOU with your business development and keeping focused on that. It’s normally a part of the Renegade Professional back office, but I see SO many that need this.

So often it’s overlooked. And so often, I think people are missing this very important webinar, which can be found from you main menu under the Start Here Checklist.

I’ve sent it up so you can easily access that webinar now. Here it is, go to the recorded webinar about customizing your Renegade Professional training. Click the link below:

Customize and Personalize Your Renegade Professional Training.

Still need more assistance?

If there answer is YES, that’s okay because we have you covered.

Get a Coach or Consultant to Work with You One on One so You Can Customize and Personalize your Training.

Renegade Professional and Barbara Silva has put into place yet another provision that will help you NOT fall short.

It’s Coaching Cognition.

I hope you’ve been reading the educational pieces Mike has been putting out there about Coaching Cognition.

If not, visit the following URLs:

If you spend an afternoon really lapping all the content like a kitty cat that gets sloppy with a dish of milk, I have confidence you’ll understand the unprecedented training and opportunity you have access to at Renegade Professional.

And it just got better because now there is – built into the training “university” program – a coaching platform.

Improve the Odds that You’ll Succeed, Save Time, Eliminate Pain, Increase Pleasure and Make Money Faster

So you may loosely fit into any of the following:

  • You’re brand new to attraction marketing
  • You’re not new but seek clarity & direction - (You need assistance with where to put your focus and to minimize overwhelm)
  • You’ve done Coaching before – or want to be – or you have the makings of a list

If you fit into any of these loose descriptions, you can choose to be serviced by connecting with a coach, or you can work even harder (and smarter) to transcend your experience and collaborate (joint venture) with Renegade Professional.

You have a several options to choose from, many of which Mike has pointed out in his article called What Renegade Professional “Beginners” Should Be Thinking About.

The point is, and what I know Mike is really trying to drive home – getting at the heart of the matter – is this:

If you don’t…

  • Learn the characteristic that determines success in a “noisy” Internet environment – how to minimize your workload & the “overwhelm” while maximizing your time – if not, you’ll never succeed.

If you don’t…

  • Learn to customize your plan – know what you’re trying to accomplish right now… and at what stage you are in the overall process – you won’t succeed.

If you don’t…

  • Learn to make it personal – personalize your plan – find your strengths and preferences & focus only on those marketing methods you enjoy most – you will likely fail.

This goes beyond marketing (to an extent) and into the core essential list. The list was originally published by Mike, in his article titled, I Gotta Make this Work! Finding the Only Shortcut and Taking It, but it’s worth repeating here.

Mike’s Essential List to Focus on Developing:

  • A keen insight
  • An ability to influence others
  • An ability to choose the right opportunities for you
  • An ability to create and communicate value
  • An ability to attract people to you through networking and marketing
  • An ability to inspire others by truly connecting with them, by listening
  • An ability to cultivate partnerships

This, I promise you, is NOT a formula, yet it’s the EXACT “formula” that will get you where you want to be, will put you in touch with the person you want to be, and you will amaze yourself after a period of time when you reflect on your growth.

All of these factors will put more money in your pocket if they’re cultivated around your passions.

I’ve woven myself into the fabric of Renegade Professional, and whether you need a coach, or want to be a coach…

…if you need extra “super” guidance, or want to be a person who does…

…if you want to contribute training, gain exposure and leverage the skills you have from a previous experience in a career…

There are infinite opportunities for you at Renegade Professional, and I can help you, or direct you to the person who can within our one of a kind close-knit community.

Don’t wait, life is to short.

Leaving No Renegade Professional Behind,

Customize and personalize your training first.

Learn how to do that by watching this webinar –

  1. Without a doubt you have targeted the main reason people do not succeed with online marketing. Distractions is a major force to deal with when working toward a goal. On the internet distractions are overwhelming. Every day people are bombarded with emails, pokes, instant messages, etc.

Recently, I realized that one of my biggest problems in getting things done was the number (and increasing daily) of email lists that I was subscribed. I have started asking myself every time a new distraction (opportunity) presents itself, “How is this going to help me achieve my goals?” The real secret is not letting my focus on not being distracted, becoming a distraction.

This article and the Get Started Right map in Renegade Professional are great helps in taking the right steps to becoming a success not only online but in life.

  2. Eric,
    Great guidance.

Getting a clear picture of where you want to go and creating a specific plan to get there is so critical to success. It’s the key to working in the ‘noisy’ internet environment and staying focused.

In reality, many people have probably watched the webinar about customizing your own training and ‘got it’ intellectually but still had trouble implementing it. I know that was true for me.

Nearly everyone that succeeds can point to a Coach, Guide, or Peers that provided the keys to creating their own plan or support as they got over the first hurdles.

I agree with you – ‘Owning It’ is required. And the sooner you get help, the faster you’ll create something you are proud to own!

  3. You hit the nail on the head Eric. Marketing is about personal branding. Personal branding requires that you get clear about your everything from your goals, to you training, to your learning style and personality type. A good training program and/or coach will start where you are, and help you find the right path for your specific journey.

Anything that is “cookie-cutter” or copycat in our present web 2.0 world will not cut the mustard..or so to speak.

  4. I know that Renegade Professional is the place that I focus on to cut out all the “noise” of the Internet when it comes to Internet marketing training.

Eric, you nail it when you point out “owning” the outcome of all personal Internet marketing activity. As a business owner, the responsibility is ours alone to achieve our business plan. It is our responsibility to find the tools, training and coaching to move us forward.

Renegade Professional, with Coaching Cognition, and other services is a one stop Business Center for all marketers.

  5. I’m one of those you refer to as floundering, picking, and poking, so I tend to agree with your advise to “customize/personalize” the training. As you know, the variety of choices on the Renegade Professional Back-Office” is pretty overwhelming, as well are the number of links on this e-mail. Which one to choose first, what path to follow, etc.?? But I definitely want to start, somewhere, and stay on a routine. Help would be welcomed. Thank You, Dean

  6. Hi, Eric.

Your news letter came in at a good time. Whenever one feels like pulling the plug, with the feeling of… ‘what’s the point! I am not getting anywhere!’ And then along comes an article to lift your spirits. I feel that these news articles were meant to land in my inbox.

I thank you for plugging me back in, and reuniting me with my visions once again.

  7. Thank you Eric. I have been floundering and found focus by applying for superguides. As I get my application together I am developing “You Inc” and “We Inc”.

  8. Hi Jennifer,

I was in the same place once upon where I was floundering and had only 5 pieces of content to my name on the web. Then I heard about the Super Guides, and caught fire. If you’re making Super Guides a goal, you will benefit in more ways than one. Best luck and will keep an eye for your application.

The other day I had my first client through our new Coaching Cognition platform that we are soon going to introduce you to officially.

I had a little communication back and forth through email with my client who was really eager to make progress with his business online.

He already had a few pieces of content out there, professionally projected videos and even an online community.

However, one thing that I could sense after talking to him on our first 15-minute free consultation and after looking over his content was that he was not completely clear on some of the main fundamentals. This was putting him in a risky position to really get bogged down with moving forward in the wrong direction.

One of the first things I wanted him to get clear on was “who is his target market”, then identify “what he is actually selling to his target market” so that he can start correctly on the path of monetization (i.e making money).

I referred him to the free amazingly valuable “The 7 Lessons to Attract Prospects to You” by Mike Klingler the founder of Renegade Professional.

Before our first session together my client was able to focus on these two fundamental questions with the help of Mike’s 7 Lessons and that had a huge impact on the progress we made and the confidence that started to exude from my client.

He felt as if a huge weight has been lifted from his shoulders. It felt as if he had just found his identity in his online business and he was now able to confidently continue moving forward with establishing his presence online because he had clear idea on the type of efforts he should put forth with very defined and sharp focus.

Why are these questions so important to be answered in detail?

This is exactly what Mike Klingler will share with you and much more in the “The 7 Lessons To Attract Prospects to You.” These are basic fundamentals that can help you get started properly with online attraction marketing. Without them it’s almost certain you will get lost, feel confused and overwhelmed. This is absolutely true and I feel the need to emphasize it here so that you realize that the next thing you should do before continuing forward with your day of building your business is reviewing the 7 lessons right away.

If you’ve been at the free attraction marketing system Renegade University you might have received the 7 lessons in your email box.

But if you haven’t you have access to the 7 lessons in your Renegade Professional back office at the very top when you login to your account.

Why is it important that you review these 7 lessons even if you have done so in the past?

Because when you started your business, or when you reviewed the 7 lessons you most likely were on a completely different state of mind that the state of mind you are now. You are either progressing or you are stuck. Either way reading the 7 Lessons again can help you gain even more clarity and either confirm that you are on the right track and help you gain new ideas, or put you back on the right track.

Go to your Renegade Professional back office by logging in at MarketingMerge.com and once you login click on the link at the very top of the page that says: The 7 Lessons To Attract Prospects to You

Enjoy!

P.S. If you don’t have a Renegade Professional account yet, you can get on by clicking on Renegade Professional here.

  1. Didi,
You make a very good point in steering us back to the basics.

It is so easy to be energetic in moving forward in the strategies of Attraction Marketing without reviewing the central focus of our marketing. We tend to not revisit tutorials that are so foundational to our success.

I was just thinking today, how differently I would approach setting up a new blog with the knowledge I have now.

Going back to the tutorials in Renegade Professional now, has great value to me, viewing them with “different eyes”. I know I am going to benefit hugely, taking your advice and acting on it.

Congratulations to the first student of Coaching Cognition and his work to put some puzzle pieces in place with a little guidance.

How cool that free tutorials available in Renegade University makes that kind of impact. This reflects the incredible value of Renegade University and Renegade Professional

Some say knowledge is power, but if it isn’t organized, focused and put into action, nothing will become of it!

I couldn’t find a better group of people to keep myself surrounded by.

    Thanks for the update!

  5. Didi,
    What a great article.
I ask myself why did it appear this morning when I had already planned my day?
Because this was just what I needed.

It is appropriate just as I am re-thinking again “Who is my Target Market” and shall I begin a new blog with the knowledge I have now.
and look from a different perspective.

The value that Renegade University continues to give, much of it for free, is really quite remarkable..

When I first began it was like a sprint to get through all the trainings as quickly as possible. How wrong can you be? Now I am re-visiting and understanding the messages and information that is being delivered.

    Thank you for this today.

  7. DiDi -

You remind me a little of the great coach Vince Lombardi.

At the beginning every training camp, he would assemble all of the players for a meeting. In this meeting, he would walk in, hold up a football and say, “This is a football.” Now, that may sound ridiculous, since he was coaching some of the greatest professional football players of their time, but it was just his way of getting his players to focus on the basics. He was adamant that his players were proficient in the fundamentals before they moved on to anything else, which is probably why his teams were so successful.

Many times we find some new tool, or discover a hot new social media site, and we lose focus of the fundamentals of how to succeed. We get distracted with trying to implement our plan, and often forget what the plan actually is.

    Thanks for reminding us.

    Comment by Patrick Howard — October 20, 2009 @ 8:52 am

  8. We think that once we’ve read it or viewed that we know it.

Unfortunately, that is not so. Thanks Didi, for steering us back to the basics. Of course knowing your target market is key or else, one is just putting up wallpaper that has no glue.

    Comment by Marie Leonard — October 20, 2009 @ 9:21 am

  9. Hi Didi,
    Thanks for the great reminder!
I recently went through a very similar situation where I had not clearly defined my target market and what I was offering.
With the help of a coach, Steve Anderson, I was able to get that clarity and now I feel like I’m off and running again.
I agree that without that clarity there is lots of overwhelm.
But with the help of Renegade Professional, reviewing the basics and even a coach it doesn’t have to be that way!

  10. Didi, what a great point you make.
I remember clearly the day I started getting the 7 Lessons and I was blown away by the valuable information provided in these lessons all for free.

It is the major reason I joined Renegade Professional.

You have motivated me to go back and re-read the lessons to not only help myself but anyone else I can along the way.

    Deb

    Comment by Deborah Marsden — October 20, 2009 @ 4:09 pm

  11. Thank you so much for that advice, DiDi! I will definitely go through the lessons again.

It is all about programing. De-program and Re-program. It would require us to get rid of the old ways of thinking… the ways which are not working, and learn new skills by participating and taking action. Practice doing something over and over again. For example, do not just read a book once… read it 7 times, and eventually it will be burned into our minds and souls, thus programing ourselves.

Going over the 7 Lessons To Attract Prospects To You, will likely give me so much more clarity, taking me to other levels of achievement and then allowing me to move forward that much further.
    Thanks again, Diyana!

    Comment by Derek Fobert — October 20, 2009 @ 4:18 pm

  12. Didi,
You make such a good point by bringing those of us who have been doing this for awhile to keep the basics we learned in the beginning as our foundation.

Sometimes we all need to be reminded and to check ourselves by revisiting the beginning! Even though we may know better there are still many times where we can feel quite overwhelmed. Going back and reading the 7 Lessons again helps us all take a deep breath and realize that the path we are on is a good one.

    Comment by LeeAnn McVey — October 20, 2009 @ 7:40 pm

  13. Didi,
Good reminder. Focusing on the fundamentals never gets old or goes out of style. So often, it’s just what we need when our progress slows down or we start to get confused.

Hey, if it’s good enough for Vince Lombardi, it’s good enough for me!
Thanks for that comparison, Patrick. It’s a good perspective.

  14. Thanks, for the solid reminder, Didi.

Sometimes, in an effort to ‘get as much as we can’ in gathering information, we can simply overlook some simple basics; like the 7 Lessions.

    Thanks, again for the reminder

If you’re new to Renegade Professional you have a lot on your mind.
That’s because you have a lot to do.
You’re about to go from where you are now to where you want to be.
And that’s no small feat.
Along the way your success is at risk.
You might “give in” to the most common success killer I’ve witnessed–
Distraction.
Don’t.
I’ve watched even our best students give in to it.  But they returned and prevailed.
I’ve seen others give in to it… never to return.  Wandering through the wilderness, into some other direction that probably sounded easier or felt more comfortable at first (but just ended up making life more difficult, and success ’seem’ even further and further away).
Realize–
If you don’t complete your training OF COURSE you can’t make the same business transformations as our students who HAVE completed their training.
So do that.
Finish it.
Follow through.
Resist the same urge that has caused you to miss opportunities in the past; that caused you to be limited in your options; limited in your pay.
Advance yourself once and for all by resisting the urge to be mediocre.
At first we teach you the tools.  How to get yourself out there online.  And how the principles of attracting leads works in reality…
But our community offers much more than that.  And after JUST a few months or less you will be past that stage of just getting online and having a web presence.
You may need to learn how to influence people.  You may need to increase your value.
Take advantage of ALL we have to offer because there’s a reason we offer it if its here.
Marketing is just a piece of your process.  You have to develop all of your essential list to see your business come to life.
Yes, marketing is on that “essential list”.
But there are a several other KEY ‘essential’ pieces as well–all of which we help you tackle head on in this community if you just reach out and grab it.
Overwhelm and Losing Focus…
(Is the grass ‘really’ greener on the other side?)

(Is this ‘really’ THAT difficult?)

Are you resisting success because you just don’t ’see’ how close you are?
In the ‘Start Here’ check list of your back office we address the issue of ‘overwhelm’ directly, almost immediately BEFORE you even started your training.
It is called:
“An in-depth look at how to “customize” and “personalize” your training plan and business development.”
This class gets you prepared to start thinking about taking control of where you put your focus based on where you’re at now and where YOU want to go next in your business (this is part of developing the ‘finer distinctions’ and keener insight I mentioned on the essential list recently).
Hopefully you watched “An in-depth look at how to “customize” and “personalize” your training plan and business development.”
Maybe you need to watch it again.
Take your time.  Because what you feel inside is even more important than what’s happening outside.
Relax a bit more.
Reflect a bit more.
Trust this process a bit more.
Inner turmoil and a sense of “lack” (not having what you want fast enough) leads to self doubt and self destruction:
Lack of focus, lack of follow through, feelings of overwhelm, or just plain frustration are all factors in leading someone to DISTRACTION and failure.
It takes trust to see a process through.
I feel partly responsible for helping you obtain the trust needed in Renegade Professional so that you move forward with the training and ultimately prevail in business without all the painstaking mistakes I had to undergo.
That’s why I’m writing you today.  You suddenly popped in my mind again.  I felt concerned.
Maybe you just need to hear that you CAN do this.
You CAN if and only if you follow through.
What Makes Succeeding Students Different Than Those Who Get Distracted?
People who move forward through the training are growing into leaders faster than any other community I’ve seen.
What made them different?
I have noticed that they were more motivated to succeed than most–I know some of their reasons because I’ve gotten to know some of these students who have grown… their reasons are personal.  And powerful.
Get in touch with your ‘reasons’ and you will find the energy and focus required to move forward and win.
Learning the mechanics…
Again, the first step is to learn the tools (the mechanics) of the Internet.
The tutorials take you click by click through the various places where you do that.
Get a Coach
When you need help we have coaches ready to help you who have been where you are now.
Most of these coaches offer a free 15 minute consultation before you decide if you’d like to hire them to help you get over bumps along the way.  Many charge as low as $25/hour.  The more experienced a coach the more they charge.  Find a coach that’s right for you to connect with from time to time.  If they can’t help you with a really specific issue they can refer you to other coaches who can.
Connect with Barbara Silva, our coach of coaches at support@marketingmerge.com with the subject:  Find Me A Coach
Beyond the Tools…
Ultimately, once you’ve mastered the tools (which took me a few months and others less or more)… its time to gain influence.
Influence is, by far, the most valuable asset you can obtain.
For influence you need exposure (standing out), you need confidence, skills and something unique or valuable to offer others, which is what attracts them to you.
We have developed a number of ways for you to collaborate with us to develop your Influence.
You’ve likely heard of these programs.
One of these is the Super Guides program, where you work closely with a team of other ‘more highly’ committed students and collaborate on projects that develop your “Influence Factor” and skills faster than you could ever do alone.
Another is becoming a Coach with Coaching Cognition, which you’ve likely been hearing a lot about lately (and will be hearing more about).  If you don’t want to wait until next year to take advantage of this particular opportunity, follow our emails over the next week closely as we share more details about the program.  We’ll be opening class for this soon.

There is also the opportunity to become a PBN Trainer, giving you significant ongoing exposure within our community and in future lead funnels that would lead people to your tutorials, which we teach you how to create once you qualify.  There’s no cost to this–just your contribution.  So check it out.

These are just some of the ways you can develop you Influence factor with us.
Marketing is important but it is motionless without influence and communication skills.

Its key to success to master these no matter what opportunity you’re in or what system you use, so I REALLY hope you’ve made this a top area of focus.

If you’ve moved along through the tutorials and have set up some of the marketing basics (like a blog or site, social sites like Squidoo, you’ve started some SEO, maybe dabbled in PPC)–it may be time to connect up with a qualified coach right now to get you to that next level.
I would have NEVER grown my business and don’t know anyone else who could have succeeded without connecting with real people along the way for help.  I paid tens of thousands of dollars (when I didn’t have it) connecting with coaches who offered less in value than you have access to here for a fraction of a fraction of the cost I paid.
Know the value is here.  Reach out for it.  It’ll pull you up.
Partners in success,
Mike Klingler
P.S. I suggest you find a coach (or coaches) to help you over the bumps along the way.  Contact support@marketingmerge.com with the subject:  “Find Me a Coach”

P.P.S. Are you ready for the truth about what you can exactly do to succeed in your business?  The easiest, more effortless way?  If you read this email in its entirely and the links it connect to and you still don’t know exactly what to do, read it again.

Log into Renegade Professional and if you’ve lost your way, begin at the Start Here Checklist.  Take your time.  Relax.  Take comfort in forward motion.

  1. The thing I like about Renegade Pro is that is addresses all levels of Internet Marketing. The beginner will get tons of value and the more advanced people will also get tons of value. The key is to stick with it long enough to garner the value. When I started Renegade I came to the program with a great deal of knowledge about the Internet (I am a web designer). I still found that I learned a great deal that I could both use in my business as well as use to promote my business. I found that dedicating a few hours to the training videos each day ( or several on weekends) was what it took to learn what I needed to know. Focusing on one subject until it is mastered is also very helpful. Fight the urge to bounce around and remain focused – you will see awesome results!

  2. Coaching Helped Me

I am so grateful for the coaching program. I found myself is a state of complete overwhelm and frustration. I contacted a coach and she has been helping me find focus and get rid of distractions. I would highly recommend coaching if you feel you would benefit from it. (I think we could all benefit from it) Then, pay it forward. That is my plan. I received the help I needed. Now I’m paying it forward. When the Coaching Cognition program opens, if they will have me, I plan on signing up. I feel like this would be helpful in every area of my life.

  3. Mike, I couldn’t have said this better myself “If you don’t complete your training OF COURSE you can’t make the same business transformations as our students who HAVE completed their training”.

I’ve talked with so many prospective Renegade beginners who first off are suffering from information overload, and secondly don’t know where to begin.

And I always begin by telling my story, start at Squidoo and follow the tutorials click by click step by step it’s the way the program was designed and believe me it works. And by all means develop a plan(you own essential list) and stick to it.

  4. Mike – You mentioned “customizing and personalizing your training…”

    This is a crucial point.

I want to stress the importance of personalizing and customizing your training.

When you were in high school, or if you went to college, or perhaps if you received advanced training for a career – what was the first thing you did?

You signed up for those classes and you knew specifically what you wanted to achieve; you knew specifically what the outcome would be if you made it through.

You probably met with a counselor along the way – someone who guided you; a person who listened to your goals and then matched you up with the appropriate classes that would take you “down that road” leading to your goals and desired outcomes.

Things get clear real quick when you approach your internet attraction marketing/internet business that way too.

But yet this is where so many fall short. Well, you don’t have to fall short, and Renegade Professional is putting into place yet another provision that can help you NOT fall short.

It’s Coaching Cognition. I hope you’ve been reading the education pieces Mike has been putting out there about Coaching Cognition. If not, visit the following URLs:

    http://www.renegadeprofessionalnews.com/EntrepreneurNews/coaches

    http://www.renegadeprofessionalnews.com/EntrepreneurNews/mikeklingler

If you spend an afternoon really reading (I mean really lapping it all up like a kitty cat that gets sloppy with a dish of milk), I have the confidence you’ll understand the unprecedented training you have access to at Renegade Professional.

And it just got better because now there is – built into the training “university” program – a coaching platform.

So whether you are any of the following:

***If you are Brand New to Attraction Marketing
(You need an Introduction to your Professional back office & training)

***You’re Not New But Seek Clarity & Direction
(You need assistance with Where to put your focus and to minimize ‘overwhelm’)

***You’ve done Coaching before – or want to be – Or You Have A List

If you fit into any of these loose descriptions, you can choose to be serviced by connecting with a coach, or you can work even harder (and smarter) to transcend your experience and collaborate (joint venture) with Renegade Professional.

You have a several options to choose from, many of which Mike has pointed out in the article above.

The point is, and what I think Mike is really trying to drive home – getting at the heart of the matter – is this:

    If you don’t…

Learn the #1 Characteristic That Determines Success In a “Noisy” Internet Environment – How to Minimize Your Workload & the “Overwhelm” while Maximizing your Time

Learn to Customize Your Plan – Know What You’re Trying to Accomplish Right Now… and At What Stage You Are In The Overall Process

Learn to Make it Personal – Personalize Your Plan – Find Your Strengths and Preferences & Focus Only On Those Marketing Methods You Enjoy Most

    …you will most likely fail.

This goes beyond marketing (to an extent) and into a core essential list. The list was originally published by Mike, but it’s worth repeating here.

Essential List to Focus on Developing:

    * A Keen insight
    * An ability to influence others
    * An ability to choose the right opportunities for you
    * An ability to create and communicate value
    * An ability to attract people to you through networking and marketing
    * An ability to inspire others by truly connecting with them, by listening
    * An ability to cultivate partnerships:

This, I promise you, is NOT a formula, yet it’s the EXACT “formula” that will get you where you want to be, will put you in touch with the person you want to be, and you will amaze yourself after a period of time when you reflect on your growth.

All of these factors will put more money in your pocket if they’re cultivated around your passions.

I’ve woven myself into the fabric of Renegade Professional, and whether you need a coach, or want to be a coach; if you need extra “super” guidance, or want to be a person who does; if you want to contribute training of your own because you have previous experience in a career – I can help you, or I can direct you to the person who can.

Don’t wait, life is to short.

  5. “Inner turmoil and a sense of “lack” (not having what you want fast enough) leads to self doubt and self destruction:”

I am one of those students who allowed distractions, real life issues get in the way of learning. True enough, circumstances prevail that get in the way of progress towards a goal. Turmoil and self-doubt follow.

I am deeply grateful for the ongoing encouragement and determination that brings me back to center. The learning curve is always before me, and every student. Staying the course is well worth the effort.

I am glad, I did not allow distractions to become the master of my journey through Renegade Professional.

  6. Mike,

I have to say that your tutorial on Personalizing and Customizing your Training was the most important tutorial for me. I was so overwhelmed in the beginning that watching this was amazingly helpful.

Everyone can do this if they remain focused. Sometimes getting a coach to help through the tough spots is just what is needed.

The new Coaching Cognition program will add even more to an already outstanding training site.

Distractions will always happen. Feeling overwhelmed might also happen more often than we would like. But..what’s great about Renegade Professional is that it is a ’safe place’ to have these experiences. There is help and support from the programs but also from the members.

Work hard, stay focused and don’t be afraid to get the the help you need.

    We are ‘We Inc’.

  7. How many times have I fallen for the “grass is greener” scenario! And it wasn’t until I became a Renegade Professional that I found myself becoming more focused and on track.
Why would I want to look anywhere else when all I need is right here?
Staying focused on my goals has now become much easier.
What sweetens the pot greatly is the opportunity for advancement, such as the Super Guide team and now the Coaching Cognition opportunity and possibly becoming a paid coach.
There are no other communities I’ve seen so far that deliver the value and opportunities seen in Renegade Professional.

Discover the Guaranteed Way to Differentiate Yourself and Determine Success or Failure with Internet Attraction Marketing

Be honest with yourself, are you a “Newbie” or a “Smart Beginner?”

Some would call you a “Newbie.” Maybe that is how you’ve referred to yourself.

You have never experienced making money online and no internet marketing (or much business) experience whatsoever.

This is where almost all of us start…

And even the concept of attraction marketing is exactly that, just a concept…

In all honestly, what you probably know most is that you have an urge like gravity to sink yourself into the booming internet economy, and flex your entrepreneurial spirit so you can live a better life, and achieve financial freedom.

Sound familiar?

If so, keep reading, an important point is to be made here.

If you mess up here, you will fail before you even begin a successful and profitable internet attraction marketing venture.

It can be hard for someone to locate an ideal starting point when beginning from scratch.

But let me offer you this very important, yet subtle difference between those that reach success, and those that never do. This is the difference between being a “newbie” and a “smart beginner.”

But first, realize that every successful person has had to start from scratch. Every successful business person has had to start the long journey at the foot of their mountain of dreams.

This starting from scratch is often referred to as being a “newbie.” That’s what we call these start-from-scratchers.

It refers to someone who is absolutely new, and doesn’t know much about anything with regard to marketing their brand, their company or their products on the internet.

But More and More, There is a Subtle yet Profound Difference Between What Would Normally Be Called a “Newbie” and What is Now Being Coined, “SMART BEGINNER”

  1. Eric, when you wrote:
“It can be hard for someone to locate an ideal starting point when beginning from scratch.” no truer words were spoken.

Unfortunately, many people just launch themselves without a plan, without educating themselves and then sit back wondering why they don’t succeed.

Fortunately, those that belong to the Renegade Professional community, don’t have to worry about that. Planning and education are the critical first steps being taught that can lead anyone who has the desire to learn and apply what is learned, an undeniably successful online marketer.

  2. Eric,
This is such a great article. As I talk to more and more people I find that many are and always will continue to search for the next best and greatest thing. I did when I first started then I realized, I have it all here at Renegade Professional, all I needed to do is work smarter not harder and implement my education that was in front of me.

We all need a plan, a business plan, ever changing but always having the same goal in mind. Being a true entrepreneur is having that plan so that we can be proactive in our businesses and not reactive.

“Newbies” will always be reactive, till they figure it out and become smart entrepreneurs.

  3. This article has been a great reminder. I tried some other “great” educational material I found on the Internet, promising faster success. All I actually found was frustration, overwhelm and myself spinning around in circles, trying to learn this new, “better than ever” program.

Renegade Professional has and has always had all the resources I need to have a marketing system set up and running. Newbie or Smart Beginner? Now, because of trial and error, I am and will continue to be a Smart Beginner, with plenty of stick-to-it-ive-ness. :-)

  4. It’s human nature to want thing to happen quickly when we get into our first home business. Most people need the extra money, and buy into the hype of over night success.
It doesn’t happen for most people, so the only true success comes from never giving up, and accepting from the beginning you must learn what it take to become success in what ever business you want to get in.

  5. Eric,
So many times the teachings in the marketplace don’t even touch on the “smart beginner”.

You mention in your article that is “linked” at the bottom of this article – a smart beginner (even when we have started again) decides what “value” we can give and finds “skills” to develop that will help to grow their business (among many other things). One of the things that attracted me to Renegade Professional was the “how to” do marketing, which other programs lacked.

Thanks, Eric, for reminding us of these ideas.

  6. Eric,

Once again a worth while article to read. For me it was a re-awakening, remembering that I am a ’smart beginner’ and no longer a newbie.
I’ve read all the othes’ comments and the value there is evident as well.

I think it is easy sometimes to lose sight of what’s important for our success and to focus on what will postpone the success we all desire so much.

    Thanks again..I needed it!

  7. Eric, Eric, That’s really right on. A smart beginner can see the journey of learning, growing, giving to be just as valuable as their anticipated success.

A smart beginner can apply all those lessons to any endeavor and expect to be successful. Where as a newbie on the fast track may rise quickly and fall harder with no expectations of longevity.

  8. Thought-provoking, Eric … and excellent linked article.

Good distinction between Newbie and Smart Beginner.

One thing I kept thinking about are all the people who don’t associate themselves with a beginner label because they’ve been working at it for a long time.

I’m thinking these are the ‘born again’ or ‘converts’?

I’m actually a “re-Renegade” myself. I found the Renegade system, played with it a while, dropped it and went wandering around in the desert, as it were, until I finally found … Renegade.

The longer you’ve been doing something a certain way, the harder it is to start over. The same is true of online marketing, especially with all the options out there – once you’ve picked a ’system’ you want to ‘work it’ and give it a chance.

I’m happy to be a Renegade, or re-Renegade; the concept of Smart Beginner is not one that is discussed too much outside this, and related communities.

  9. Wow. You’ve summed it up beautifully.

The ‘newbie’ term tends to have a negative connotation. You’ve just created an alternative that is much more attractive and descriptive of what it will take to persevere through the early stages of learning internet marketing!

    Comment by Dianne Thomsen — September 28, 2009 @ 4:11 pm

  10. You’re absolutely right, Eric. The smart beginner starts at the same place everyone else does. It is possible to become noticed when there is consistent focus in the learning process and applying the lessons. A smart beginner quickly becomes a leader when they in learn offer to teach others what they are learning–extending value to their teams.

I am so glad I made it to the Live Event!
