Scroll down the page if your interest was piqued by the headline to learn more details about connecting with Mike Klingler and the Marketing Merge team on Ustream.
Or patiently read the valuable information you should know about Ustream.tv.
Ustream.tv is a free service that allows you to broadcast video and interact with an audience – live.
To get started, all you need is a webcam (or a traditional video camera attached to your computer) and a broadband Internet connection.
Ustream.tv isn’t the only game in town, but seems to be most popular right now. Other live stream services include stickam.com operator11.com and justin.tv
Is Ustream.tv a good marketing tool for your business?
This depends on three important factors. But first, ask yourself what you’re doing online. Other questions that follow would be:
- How will it build your brand and/or business?
- What is your comfort level on video? Now kick it up a notch, what’s your comfort on live video?
- How will live streaming video assist the marketing and sales funnel process you’ve created?
Live video services are intended to be watched by a live audience. They are not meant for pre-recorded video. Nonetheless, it can be valuable to record and make available for play back.
Here is an example.
Let’s say you are thinking about purchasing an SEO course that costs $997, but you have some questions you’d feel much more comfortable asking before purchase.
It sure makes sense for the owners of that SEO course to host a live streaming video doesn’t it?! Of course, they could be fielding all varieties of questions that make a difference between purchase and no purchase.
In this case, it’s also a great tool for establishing trust and making a connection.
Follow this link if you want even more examples and information for how to use live video streaming with Ustream.tv?
Most prefer to watch video at their convenience. This is why pre-recorded video rules over live video. That and all the edits that are sometimes needed to create slick and professional videos.
You can offer recordings of your original “live video” to your audience. But often, the live streaming videos aren’t meant for that. Bottom line is that there is a stark difference between recording “live video” and one that is pre-recorded and edited.
But what if you want to play around with live broadcasting nonetheless, just to see what happens?
We recommend you should, and we have a fun opportunity for you to help you get started. Pay close attention to the following.
Meet up with Mike Klingler and the Marketing Merge team on Ustream on New Years Day! Mike will be speaking to our Renegade Professional community.
Didi Alcheva will be announcing the winners of the live event contest. (Don’t worry, attending the live streaming video isn’t a condition for being a contest winner).
You’ll get to meet up with the entire Marketing Merge team. We’ll be wishing you a happy and prosperous 2010, and giving a special “can’t wait to meet you” greeting to all those who are planning to attend the Renegade Professional Live Event.
If you want to connect with Mike Klingler and the entire Marketing Merge team on live streaming video where you’ll be able to ask questions and interact, follow the link to learn more specific details.

“…It was the equivalent of that video working continuously for 2 straight years – constantly. And it brought a lot of money my way! How can you make a half million working 20 hours a week? It doesn’t sound human. Well, it’s not human. You learn to digitize yourself, and your website never sleeps.”
Mark Hoverson started his online business with a $250 used computer. At first, he did not know how to attach a document to an email, but within 14 months, he was able to generate over $3.2 million dollars.

He will be speaking about Automation without Alienation: how to create a personality-rich system of earning that is highly automated, yet also builds a thriving community.

Great ideas Mark…the best marketing tool I presently use is a BIG White Board!! Staying focused on daily production is way easier when it’s staring at you in multi-colored marker!! Keeps you off twitter and facebook when your daily goals are in your face.
I do have two exceptions to your thoughts…In my book, network marketing is a relationship business. In that sense, once most is automated and you are NOT diddling around on the internet, I strongly feel that you do need to spend time on the phone and you do need to return emails. You can automate 95% of it..but ultimately it’s real people interacting in real time with other real people.
As for bookmarking others’ content… Getting your stuff bookmarked by others is one of the most powerful ways of becoming more visible to search engines. But, only the uniformed do this by hand any more. With Synnd (http://gotsynnd.info)..you can accomplish this very important task…in under 1/2 hour per day…thus keeping within the outsourcing and automating mindset.
Looking forward to meeting you at the live event.
Peace and Abundance,

Phone call from one of Ann Sieg’s inner circle. This person had the wisdom to reach out to Ty by phone. sent the physical item to him. This person stood out from the crowd by taking the extra effort to provide service and value.
As a result, Ty became a strong and successful promoter of The Renegade Network Marketer and then Renegade Professional.
Ty endorses bringing two great minds together to bring great value to the market Mike Klingler and Ann Sieg. Mike saw people in the community with a loss to know how to get the internet marketing done. Together he and Ann now have an incredible format for training.
Thanks Eric, this interview does a solid job with validating Renegade Professional and all things related. I am so glad I am coming to the event.

This contest couldn’t have come at a better time. See you in Ren. Prof. Facebook

Another great idea from Ann & Mike – They always give real value in what they do. Keeping this comment short as I am off to write my answer and post it.

You won’t believe this Eric, but Facebook just won’t let me in that page to tell my story. I’ve even had Deborah Tutnauer trying to help me. She had to make me a fan using my account. But when I try from my computer, the picture shows up quickly in the search window and then disappears to bring me right back to my home page.
I’ll see what tomorrow brings but I’ve got a few more gray hairs to show for it. Heck. I may need to redo my color before this is over!

Hmm…I must be missing something. There seems to be a problem getting to the Renegade Professional News FB page. Each time I click on it, I get back to my home page, even after I searched for it.

Eric, still having difficulties. Glad to see it’s not just me. In any case, I asked David Carroll and he posted in the Facebook page for me. Hope this gets resolved because I can’t even see what others are posting. Can’t check out the competition!

Thanks Eric. I will give it a shot to be a fan. Did I miss something again? The email says, “even if you live outside the US” – and that was today’s email (Dec 22nd)!
Oh well, I’m disqualified… *sigh*
Good luck to the lucky one…
Philip.

I have searched for the Renegade professional News page on Facebook and it seems to have disappeared. I have been on FB for some time, so I am familiar with searches, have followed the links provided, and they do not work. Has FB “lost” or blocked it?

Hi Eric, The problem occurs when I do the search as it does not come up, so I cannot join as a fan. I am definitely logged in. I tried your link and this does not work either.
I will send my submission to you when I have got it perfect!

I too haven’t been able to post my contest submission to Facebook, I’ve been trying for about 20 minutes now to do it. I think it’s because I haven’t joined any Renegade Professional Facebook pages prior to this, but I don’t know. I’ve emailed my submssion to Eric, so Eric please post it on Facebook. Thanks!

What People Are Saying...
I am so glad I made it to the Live Event! I had just been recovering from back surgery and didn't know if I could handle both the travel and sitting time, but I made up my mind I would still continue with my plans, and am thankful I did. It exceeded all my expectations! I loved getting to meet all my Renegade friends in person, as well as getting to meet other new friends who are aspiring entrepreneurs. I know we are on the cutting edge of something so BIG! The Live Event was over the top, and the people who make up the Renegade Community are amazing! Looking forward to attending the next one!Lori Willman

What Renegade Professional did for me was to fill in my marketing gaps, making me far more effective and knowledgeable. The comprehensive training offered here is awe-inspiring.

Marie – I know you’ve told me about living ‘off the grid’, but seeing the pictures and the map really puts it in perspective.
It looks so peaceful – what a beautiful view!
I look forward to meeting you in Portland.
Safe travels!

Thanks Michael. Me too! But Mike may have to whip out that wheel barrow he mentioned to come and get me with if I don’t see any air plane ticket action real soon.

Congrats to Angela and Dotty. It’ll be great to connect with such talented ladies!

Marie, such brilliant copy writing and I know you echoed the sentiments of many Renegade Professionals but you said it so magnificently for us all. I loved the humour and the way you kept us there until the end guessing about the potty.
Have an incredible time in Portland on this historical occasion.
Perhaps we can expect a great piece of content relaying all the wonderful things and people you will encounter.
Comment by Judith Atkinson — January 7, 2010 @ 8:17 am
Marie, you put into words so well, how the journey Renegade Professional has manifested for most of us who have plugged through to the Super Guide program.
It is like moving from using bird shot for hunting White Tail deer in the back forty to rifle. The target is much more focused, the aim is sure, a direct hit in much more likely to happen.
Coaching Cognition is the icing on the cake, or the deer in the bag (lol) with the added skill sets of listening, understanding and guiding.
Great essay, and I do look forward to a big hug in Portland.
Comment by Pat Campbell — January 7, 2010 @ 2:25 pm
Cool, I just got to Eric’s last comments about “reading the fine print”.
This is just like Marketing Merge, to be so generous on one end to operate from the “heart and gut response”. Then when a goof up is made, to acknowledge it and make good on it.
Congratulations to the second winner.

Hello, everyone.
First of all, I am sending this message out to the entire Renegade community.
I don’t usually go public on a lot of blogs, but I feel compelled to write a few items. Please forgive me if I ramble or go off-topic. I feel like Sally Fields when she won an Oscar and blurted out as part of her acceptance speech, “You like me. You really like me!”
Marie, I’d like to applaud your contest victory, and I’m sure you have many achievements to be proud of. Even though your home is in the boonies, it looks like a very pleasant place to live. I am also glad that we are in the same Coaching Cognition training class. We’ll have lots of things to talk about in Portland, and I am looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the renegades.
Dotty, please accept my congratulations for your extremely well-written and heartfelt essay. Thanks for thinking of me and referring a facebook fan. We really have to look each other up at the Live Event.
As a testament to the strength and caring of our supportive community, I started receiving pats of the back from my friends and associates as soon as my name was announced. It was truly thrilling and a marvelous way to start the new year.
I will work my hardest to make 2010 a fantastic one that exemplifies the best that Renegade Professional and attraction marketing have to offer.
So once again, thanks Mike, Ann, Eric, Didi, and congrats Marie and Dotty.

Marie,
I know we talked already, but I wanted you to know how proud I was of you. You always go over and above what is expected.
I love hearing about you living “off the grid”. You’re very deserving.
And Dotty and Angela are 2 lucky and talented marketers as well!

Thank you for doing what you do.

@Pat Campbell,
Thanks Pat. One thing about Marketing Merge and it can be summed up in a word:
C A R E
Comment by ericwalker — January 8, 2010 @ 5:02 pm
@ Eric
as it describes Marketing Merge.
Let’s have fun with the word C A R E !!
C – compassionate
A – authentic
R – rejuvenating
E – educational or excellent or effective or efficacious

Rana, congratulations.
Your story is powerful in the impact Renegade Professional is having not only in your own marketing, but for those you are reaching out to.
It is heart-warming and inspiring to realize that Renegade Professional skills fit your sons’ giftedness. What a wonderful gift you are able to provide for him and his future.
I too look forward to our meet up in Portland. Four more sleeps!

Fantastic Marie, you’re an excellent story teller most of the time I just skim though article posts but this one captured my attention all the way to the end.

Marie,
I just checked out the map and thought “Gee, that area looks kind of familiar.” My father and I used to travel to the Rouyn-Noranda area to go fishing when I was younger. We wouldn’t see anybody else the entire time we were there. Just bears and moose.
Comment by Adrian Schleis — January 14, 2010 @ 10:07 pm
It’s happening, we are here!!!
It is amazing to meet face to face with the friends, “heroes” who mentor and teach us.
The sound of the meeting rooms is a buzz of sound as friends meet up with each other and meet new friends.
Plan for 2011 to be here.

I have already had the incredible experience of being at the receiving end of your generosity. And you don’t know me from Adam! Congratulations Marie, that article is obviously a winner. I believe I am a fan for life.
@Angela
Hi there Marketing Guru! I didn’t know you have 100 odd videos out there! You inspire me to go back to my tutorials! Congrats!
@Dotty
You’re driving home the same point. Hit the tutorials! And Congratulations.
@Rana
Your story touched home for me. I want to help the less fortunate make a living! I know one mother who has 2 (yes you read right, TWO) autistic children. Another intelligent 35 year old who is the kindest soul ever) has been shortchanged from living a decent life because she has epilepsy. And a fourth graduate who cannot get a decent job because he is wheelchair bound! Wouldn’t it be grand to give them something that would give them a decent source of income.
Thanks for all the inspiring stories. Gosh I really missed out by not going for the live event.
