Mike Klingler

Mike Klingler here.

As most of you already know, I’ve been studying social media marketing for over 2 years with tremendous success.

And I’ve committed much of my time to teaching what I’ve learned.

Now, the next chapter!!!

Over the last several months I’ve found some new ways to leverage what I like to call “The Power 5″ social media locations to accomplish even more with less time.  It’s exciting stuff.

To show and tell, in the style of teaching I love to do, I’ll be doing what I teach at my business Fan Page at Facebook, which is one of these Power 5 locations (this is different from the personal Face book page where you probably follow me at now).

I’ll be showing you how to use the Facebook business pages to duplicate what I’ve learned with less time.

Follow what I’m doing at Facebook business pages so you can stay connected to this next phase of my teaching cirriculum.  What I do here will connect with my next version of training at Renegade Professional.

Click to become a fan and follow the process over next few months.

By the way, if you’d like to be able to talk with me, now you can.  Ask me your question at the Discussions Area once becoming a fan.

Partners in success,

Mike Klingler

  6. HI Mike! I shared this comment in your Fan Page Discussion but wanted to share it here too…

Funny, I teach about the “Big 4″ but the Fan Page is something that I have been contemplating with for months… Here’s my post:

“Hi Mike! This is sooo cool! THANK YOU for taking the initiative and leading the way to educate the community re the benefits of a Fan Page. I for one have contemplated the idea of a fan page for a few months now but here are the 2 biggest reasons I haven’t moved forward with creating one:

    1) I can’t get over the idea of me inviting people to “Become My Fan”… why can’t it just be “Let’s Learn From Each Other” or something? ;) I know it’s a rather shallow excuse but I guess my #2 reason is is really what has been stopping me and that is,

    2) I already have to consciously limit my time for my social media mktg efforts, especially now that I am in product and course creation mode. I am already having a bit of a challenge making time to build and foster my relationships on my personal FB profile that to add another page – a Fan Page- where I really have to be consistently “present” and maintain makes me a bit nervous that one of them might suffer from lesser TLC…

One of my mentors ( soon to launch a book am co-authoring with her) Social Media Expert Mari Smith, is a huge advocate of Fan Pages and that’s what prompted me to seriously consider it.

I know sooner or later, I have to do it since I have so much I would like to teach and share as far as how to use technology and Relationship or Relational Marketing to grow ones business!

I am all eyes – and ears – to what you’re doing! I continue to learn immensely from you and I absolutely trust your direction and pioneering spirit!

    In Gratitude,

    Emma ;)

Fundamentally, you can’t be your internet super-self and win big with your Internet business without putting yourself out their ten-fold (100-fold) first.
That’s the name of this internet business money making game (or whatever endeavor it is).
The fact of the matter is this: You have to absolutely  be omnipresent with the thing you know best.
That is the ONE game changer. The X factor.
The problem is that most people think that has to be really big. No, it can be small and super targeted like “Home Birth Preparation Kits” or “Short Sales in San Jose” small.
Or another thing is people get caught up asking about how to monetize first, and do everything with wrong intentions because they’re just walking through the motions uninspired in an attempt to make money.
This is what I mean, and I’ll use an analogy to explain that ONE game changing element I’m talking about here …
It’s not about being the car salesman. nope.
It’s not about selling luxury cars. nope.
It’s not even about selling BMWs. no. It has to go even closer than that.
It’s about selling BMW mufflers for the V10-powered version of the E60 5 Series.
See what I am saying here…?
So your specialty has to be a razors edge. It has to be at the lowest and closest level. It’s that spot, so  sweet a spot that there is no way you lose.
At the same time, whatever “that” is  has to make your heart sing. Or you won’t last the entire race it takes to finish, let alone win.
Because everywhere else, you’re just like everyone else.
You’re a blogger, so is everyone else.
You’re in network marketing, so is everyone else.
You sell BMW’s, so does everyone else.
But when you find that sweet spot; your one and only little golden nugget, that’s where you relish. That’s where you can play the game you were meant to play.
That’s where you nail your niche.
And this is the toughest thing I see people struggle with. I have so hard a time trying to convey it people.
Because I know first hand how difficult that can be to do.
I know first hand how badly you want to succeed, earn a full time income with a home based internet business. Oh I know.
And damn! Don’t we want the world NOW! We can’t wait. We can’t slug through tutorials and learn all these platforms. It’s like, where are the answers; where are the directions?!
Well the directions are what I’m saying here and what I’m you’re reading right now.
You first have to really go that low to the ground. I mean roll up your sleeves and stick your hands in the dirt low to the ground.
And you really do, in some cases, have to wait that long to get there. I’m talking 6-24 months long. If you’re not willing to go that distance then you don’t love what you do, and you’re not supposed to do it anyway.
If you’re only doing your MLM or your blog or whatever it is because there is an onslaught of bills and overdue notices, and you just got laid off … then I understand that your need is real; your financial situation is real … But if you’re out there on the internet starting at ground zero in desperation mode, you won’t be magnetic.
And I know this sounds all Law of Attraction, but it’s true, you won’t be emanating attraction; you won’t be creating magnetism. Instead, you’ll repel people.
Just can’t say enough about the need to be as sharp as a knife, cutting edge, bleeding edge focused on that sweet spot. That’s also why it has to make your heart sing and be in complete alignment with your core values.
When you get that part, and drink your hustle juice with it, you’ll succeed with whatever your internet business is. Guaranteed.

P.S. Having a hard time finding your niche, or having a hard time marketing your niche?

Both problems will stymie the best of internet business intentions.

Inside the Renegade Professional training, there is one tutorial called Marketing 101: Choosing Your Niche. It was created by Ann Sieg and it comes with a PDF checklist/guide sheet for you to follow along with. This 57 minute training, alone, is worth the cost of two months at Renegade Professional – easily.

Upgrade to Renegade Professional now, if anything, to simply access this training. My hunch is tho, if you’re like anyone else, you’ll find so much more to move your internet business forward.

  1. Eric, is THIS what Mike Klingler has taught you since being in Portland?!

Because to me, your webinar on this subject last night was on par with the best of Mike Klingler’s webinars, where he shares thoughts that really hit home, with gems that excite and bring ideas: passionate ideas!

Thanks Eric… I’m glad you delivered for the all the people I invited to the Smart Beginner webinar.

    Comment by Becky Joubert — February 26, 2010 @ 11:24 am

  2. Hey Eric,

I totally agree. Success happens when you are fully focused on that one thing you are creating. You also, have to feel it and have the patience. Approaching it from a needy position of – it has to start working and create results right now – will only create frustration.

I recently read an email by someone who said “I have been into it for 20 days already and have no results, can you tell me what I need to do so that I generate some leads and get some proof that this really works?”

That’s totally the wrong attitude and the wrong questions a smart beginner should be asking.

There are hundreds and even thousands of great examples in our Renegade community and if you just give yourself, time, willingness to explore your options and find the niche that best fulfills your passion, and work hard, consistently and with good intentions realizing it’s not going to happen over night… than you will see results as well.

I am glad that you referred to Ann Sieg’s tutorial as well inside Renegade Pro about finding your niche…It’s definitely a great place to begin.

I would have to correct you though, because I think that it’s value (for just this one tutorial) is so much more than a couple of months of in Rpro…because if you get it, and if you are open to benefiting from it…you will have a guarantee that you are starting in the right direction online, and that is priceless.

  3. Eric, I thoroughly enjoyed last night’s webinar. The info you provided has given me a clearer understanding of what marketing on the Internet really involves. That dedication and focus you spoke of is something that we all must have, along with a massive dose of commitment.

I am really looking forward to the next webinar.

You mentioned that there was a possibility that next Thursday’s webinar might be on a “rain delay”. I hope not…

  4. Hi Eric,

People seem to think that if they narrow their focus too much they will miss out on some prospects.

They just haven’t done the math:

If you target one percent of 400,000,000 you have a market of 4,000,000.

If one percent of your market is interested you have 400,000 potential propects.

Take one percent of them and you get 40,000 prospects.

I’m pretty sure that with a list of 40,000 you can get something going.

It comes down to this, Do you want to be a small fish in a big lake or a big fish in a small pond?

    Michael

  5. I am new to Renegade Professional but have a great leader in Marie Leonard.

Marie and I met last year at a health conference and clicked immediately.

After spending almost $40,000 on websites in the past 15 years, I came to realize that they were nothing more than glorified brochures.

I’m still morphing into what my new business is, but I do know that I have a passion for business/entrepreneurs and helping women either start an at-home business, or helping them to grow their existing business online. Empowering women to become successful is an absolute passion of mine!

I know that all of my past experience is leading me to this particular business opportunity and niche market, and look forward to putting into practice the things I am learning through Renegade Professional.

Looking forward to great things in 2010!

How empowering to know that you are helping people “get it”. I’m hooked! My new partner, Jan, is invaluable, a go getter and ready to put in the time to make our new venture together, the success it is now and will become more so in the future.

    Life is GOOD!

  7. Thanks so much, Eric, for the Smart Beginner series of trainings!

After the first session last Thursday night, I immediately used your specific search strategy to find blogs in my niche. While previous searches had only produced advertisements, this time following your instructions yielded several relevant blogs.

You’re a great teacher! I look forward to next Thursday night.

    THANKS!

  8. I watched the webinar and Eric, you did a great job showing each participant the steps from discovering your niche, through to creating a business opportunity.

The example you used with Http://bringbirthhome.com shows the end result of the relationships built through Kaitlin’s journey in marketing through Renegade Pro.

As @Michael points out in his math, getting narrow in marketing works.

    Comment by Pat Campbell — February 28, 2010 @ 6:01 pm

  9. Hi Eric,
Thanks for reminding everyone about the importance of finding your niche. As you know, helping others find their ideal niche is my passion and focus as a coach.

I can’t tell you how many entrepreneurs rush ahead marketing themselves online without setting this foundation for their success. If you don’t nail your niche, you will end up spending a lot of time working hard with little results.

As I explain in my free report, “Ten Steps to Finding and Attracting Your Ideal Niche, you have to answer the 3 W’s: You have to know WHO you’re marketing to, WHAT solution you will provide, and WHY they should do business with you.

Something magic happens when you put these pieces of the puzzle together. You are connecting with a specific group of people who you can genuinely help. They can not only find you through all the “noise”, but they actively seek you out.

    Thanks and warm wishes,
    Cindy

  17. Hi Eric,

    Thanks for the advice.

I watched a few short videos and was quite inspired. I look forward to continuning down this road with my partner, Marie.

We are starting a nice inexpensive “blog” as our online presence. I feel like such a dummy for not knowing this kind of stuff before.

Time to start sharing and then empowering women to take charge online.

    Wooo hoooo!!!

  18. @Jan Walker Pinnington,

Well if you’re partnered up with Marie, you are no dummy (I highly doubt you were ever a dummy).

Blogs don’t have to be expensive, that’s for sure. In fact, they start out just about free, and perhaps over a little time once the content is filled in, then you might consider paying a designer to make it look especially pretty and in-line with your brand. But that’s certainly not the first step.

What We’re Doing

As you may or may not know, we’re hosting weekly Smart Beginner training webinars for Renegade University students and New & Overwhelmed Renegade Professionals every Thursday.

The main objective is to help those who need and want it move forward with their internet business using the expansive Renegade Professional training.

This is like a major initiative. We’re putting a lot of effort into these Smart Beginner webinars, but I felt there was something missing. So I thought I’d throw a little something more into the mix.

That’s when I came up with the “Personalized Smart Beginner Marketing Plan.”

Not sure what a “Smart Beginner” is… read this article. We like to focus on guiding and helping Smart Beginners.

What You Get, How to “Play” & a Couple Rules

What You Get

You will get a Personalized “Smart Beginner” Marketing Plan.

This Personalized “Smart Beginner” Marketing Plan will be awarded to TWO people after each Smart Beginner training webinar – one current *Renegade University student and one current Renegade Professional member.

Here’s the official verbiage –
You get an hour long session with me, Eric Walker (Smart Beginner Coach). I’m going to determine the THREE top leverage points that are personalized to you that you can do – beginning tomorrow – to focus and hone-in your marketing.

After the three leverage points are determined, I’m going to use those three points to create a customized marketing strategy for just for you. Give me 48 hours, and I will email it to you as a PDF you can immediately follow.

All in this from one hour long session.

Fine Print Details *Fine Print Details

*If you’re a Renegade University student when you are selected, you must first upgrade to Renegade Professional. Because the personalized marketing plan revolves around the Renegade Professional training, it’s a necessity that you have access to that training.

You also need to attend one (or all) of the Smart Beginner Training webinars. That makes sense, right? If I am going to choose two people AFTER EVERYONE SINGLE Smart Beginner training webinar I host, it makes sense that the person who receives the Personalized “Smart Beginner” Marketing Plan is on that actual webinar.

How to Play

It’s simple. You have options.

Make it known that you would like to receive the Personalized “Smart Beginner” Marketing Plan simply by stating so.

You can make it known that you would like to receive this Personalized “Smart Beginner” Marketing Plan by leaving a comment in the comments section or emailing me (or both).

I prefer that you leave a comment because I want the world to see the conversations that occur here. I think that helps everyone.

Include the following information:

1. Do you have a business? It’s okay if you don’t.

2. If you do have a business, how would you classify it?

You can choose from this short list:

a. Service Provider – you make money by providing services. You work with one person or business at a time.

b. Marketing Blogger – you make more money when you have more traffic. The more traffic you get to your site the better you do. Mostly you do well when eyeballs stay on your pages.

c. Coach or Consultant – you make money as a coach or consultant. For you, it’s more about building up your name (your brand).

d. Network marketer – you make money by signing more people into your deal. That’s the bottom line. You need lots of leads to do that.

e. Small Business/Home Business – you make money by selling more products.

3. What is your burning question?

I’ll say it again, if you don’t have a business, or a clue, that’s okay too.

There are specific things you can do to “dig your internet trench” that will help you once you do know what your business will be.

Want more information specifically tailored for the Smart Beginner?

Put yourself on the list for all the goodies. Lots more where this came from so you can get off to a smart start with your internet business.

Follow the Link to Place Yourself on the Smart Beginner “VIP” List

By placing yourself on this list, you’ll only receive pure valued-based content for Smart Beginners to keep ahead of the curve.

P.S.S. It really makes a whole lot more sense to go through this webinar training series as a Renegade Professional.

Doing so puts you on the fast track toward building your list and learning what to say and do as your prospects contact you because they’re attracted to the value you provide. You’ll also have access to much more in-depth training that includes how to personalize and customize your own auto-email campaigns, lead capture pages, and more. 1. What a fantastic way to get started in your business. Everyone needs a marketing plan if you’re building a business online. Can you imagine building a house without an architect drawing up a plan? It’s the same for your business – you need a plan so you know what to do and when to do it.

    2. Geez Eric, no comments yet? How about I get the ball rolling…I would like to get your insight to help get my marketing blog for my consulting brokerage site going. Ha! threw a curve ball at you didn’t I? My business is actually to facilitate the process for small businesses to find the resources they need. I collect a finders fee from the consultants I refer that get contracts, and I also collect affiliate commissions on products and services I promote. I mostly do article marketing but I have recently added a Squidoo lens and Facebook fan site. Looking forward to hearing from you! Patch

    3. Hi Patrick,

Thanks for being the first one! I actually received a few at the temporary email
I set up to [smarterbeginner@gmail.com] but indeed, you’re the first commenter.

One way or another we’ll give you some love.

I have gotten a fair amount of responses already and still going through them,
but wanted to acknowledge you, and say thank you. Stick with us throughout
these webinars on Thursdays, and be one of the consistent ones.

Consistency is the key. No matter what.

Thanks Patrick, I will get back with you later this week, or if not, DO be on the
webinar and we’ll see if you’re the person who we choose.

Either way, you made the first “smart beginner” move and that was to raise
your hand and be noticed. I noticed. That is a good thing.

Of course, I have already heard about you anyway. Aren’t you involved with PBN?

      We should connect.

    9. Eric,

When I was first introduced to RU I was very excited to simply be learning some of the techniques. I upgraded to RP for several months and learned a lot but do to some personal issues I had to downgrade to RU again (looking to return this year).

When I was a RP member I ended up falling into the overwhelmed status and felt like I was jumping around from technique to technique…spinning my wheels and not going anywhere.

I joined an MLM business which I’ve put on hold until I get a better grasp of marketing it so I can generate the necessary leads.

These webinars sound like the answer I need to get back on track and start making traction instead of spinning wheels. I would love to be chosen for a personal session but I realize that won’t happen. I can’t attend the webinars because I work on Thursday nights.

I have 2 questions, first, will you record these webinars and make them available to people on the list for later viewing? Secondly, will webinars ever be done on Tuesday or Wednesday (my nights off)? Just wondering.

Thanks for all that you and the rest of the Renegade Professional staff do for us. I’ve learned a lot and the main thing I have learned is that there is sooo much more I need to learn.

    11. Hey Eric,
Thank you for your hard work and offering us even more training. You guys at Renegade Pro rock!!

I actually have two businesses but the burning question is the same for each.

I’m in a network marketing company with one of your friends Deborah Tutnauer and have my blog up and running.

I’m also in PBN and have a blog dedicated to marketing for Physical Therapy practices.

My burning question has been burning like a wild fire for so long and I can’t seem to get a good hold on it. That burning question is….traffic.

I won’t even say what a good day for me for traffic is because it’s pretty embarrassing.

A day with double digit traffic is unheard of. I need direction about how to devote my efforts.

I feel like I’m spinning my wheels because content, videos etc. that I produce has no audience anyway.

It’s like that last piece of the puzzle that I can’t find but without that piece nothing happens.

I’ll do whatever I need to do to increase my traffic but I’m pulling my hair out with guessing at this point.

Thanks so much Eric. Keep up the great work big guy.

Now I plan to get right back. This site is the one I will use to attract NWMarketing builders, as opposed to customers.

I have joined everything associated with RP,for instance Mike’s My First List to Alicia’s Lead Conversion Kit. I want to become an affiliate for these. I would like direction on setting up my Marketing Plan

    20. Hi Eric,

I’m in Network Marketing and have a Marketing Blog to attract leads.

Now that I am starting to get leads it seems that I have spent too much time on leads generation and not enough time on my Marketing Funnel.

Your offer to let bashful marketers email is pretty cool, but I wonder, if someone is too shy to post a comment on a blog, are they really using Attraction Marketing?

Attraction Marketing is about putting yourself out there and making yourself known and blog comments are a good place to start.

    22. Hi Eric,
Kristoperson here from the Philippines and have been shopping the internet to find the easy way out….But I lack focus though I am all fired at the beginning. When I see the internet already full of experts, I get discouraged and I say to myself that I am already out of the running and can’t cope up with them. Now Ive decided to settle, not rush things and follow thru with the plan with patience and learning how to say “NO”.. It doesn’t matter if I am behind or not as long as I will start to work now and I know Im headed to the right direction…..After all Ive seen, after I have paid $395 to the other online company for training, I can say that RPRO is the real deal….I am looking for guidance and I hope I can be the first to grab your hand for help…I am still thinking of a business but my priority now is to establish my online presence and learn how to market online and the business that I will choose will just follow in my own opinion. Thanks and have a great day….

    24. @Michael Cole,

You are correct about attraction marketing being about putting yourself out there. There is no way anyone will create attraction if they are exuding their magnetism which is most effective if it is aligned with their internal brand (that “thing” that really inspires them).

I fully agree, and you will notice that I will teach this in the webinars to come, that leaving comments and creating your own network is definitely a high priority Smart Beginner thing to do.

Thanks for your contribution here Michael. DO come back.

I’ll refer to specific Renegade Professional training that takes the tech-pains many feel when getting started out of the equation. But I’ll offer a path (a trail heading in the right direction if you will) that will give you daily action steps to take.

    27. @Matt Laporte,

Thank you for your very targeted and specific conundrum. I will address the specific example of Kaitlin Rose, who got started with Facebook, Twitter and just a profile at another social network site dedicated to her niche.

      She had no website.

But what she did is network with specific people who were in her niche, and she only used Search to find those people. She also wrote content at her social network profile blog. One article in particular struck a nerve and received 500 comments.

She did this for about a month and a half – everyday.

And slowly, after leaving comments, friending people up, following people and seeming like she was omnipresent, she had a small, but dedicated following.

Then, she used Renegade Professional to build a wordpress blog, and wrote a 9 day follow up email series. She learned how to do all that with Aweber (Training inside of Renegade Professional on that too), and then…

Then, she announced to everyone that her blog was done, and they came to check it out. She was averaging around 100 visitors a day. This went on for another 30 days.

So now, she had Twitter, Facebook, her social network profile blog and her real blog.

Once she put her newsletter in place and got it all set up, she simply announced to her “following” only using Facebook and Twitter that it was ready.

The results? (well it’s only been two days -lol- but yesterday she had 10 subscribers and the day before that, 11). 21 leads in 2 days, not bad for a Smart Beginner who just got started in November.

Now it’s just a matter of building on that. And oh by the way, she also connected with a person in her niche in Australia who has a product, and they’re going to launch it together.

The point is that this example has universal application, and it’s exactly what I’m going to start our Smart Beginner series out with.

To answer your questions… Yes, they webinars will be recorded. Although they’re free now to all RU and RPro members, they will be placed inside of Professional in the future, so only upgraded Professionals will be able to access them.

We’ll run for the next consecutive six weeks or so (we might skip just one Thursday) exclusively on Thursday nights. Depending on the turnout, I’ll take a couple weeks break and then restart, and when we do, I’ll host the webinars on Tuesday to switch things up.

We aim to please, my friend.

I encourage you to re-upgrade to Professional, and get a steady-at-your-own-pace re-start. When you do, contact me and I’ll personally make sure you’re feeling good about getting going.

Eric, I am glad you are doing this because there is soooo much great stuff & info at renegade professional and I know I can be successful, but I am overwhelmed by the amount of information and the steps to go through to reach my goals of creating a full time income, part time on the internet. I am into network marketing and online marketing and want to generate leads that convert to a sales team as well as market different products on the web in areas that interest me. I then want to help others learn how to be successful in this economy. I think the smart beginner webinars will help.

It will help you take on just one Renegade Professional training at a time with a genuine purpose and reason. 42. @Ase Pettersen,

The first thing I want to help you realize is that you are NOT an ordinary MLM’er. You are “Ase Pettersen” who is a real person who thinks, feels, breathes, loves and has passions and dreams like everyone else. The first step is finding that real person underneath the “ordinary MLM’er” and being comfortable with putting it “out there.” I’ll help show you how that can be done with the social platforms on the web like Twitter and Facebook (for starters), and then I’ll show you how Renegade Professional’s training teaches you how to use those social platforms in an authentic manner.

I am happy that you wrote “Spirit is still up.” Hope is a good thing, and good things don’t die. We’ll see you on the webinar tonight.

I could probably use your input about some of the things you’re seeing in the field (probably much of what I’m seeing too, but two eyes are always better than one). 44. First I wanted to say–YES, and Wow and Right ON! To Eric and everyone who is continually adding value to the community.

There is so much to come that is fundamentally at the base of all this–to facilitate YOU guys out there who are moving forward (and not just sell stuff to you that takes you one step forward at a time but doesn’t actually give you the framework to duplicate what Ann Sieg, Myself, Dillard and other ‘big-guns’ have gotten to do with larger budgets).

On a more relative note appropriate to this thread specifically–

I have always considered myself a Smart Beginner (as Eric has insight-fully coined the phrase)–and I likely will always consider myself a Smart Beginner, at least for as long as I’m still playing the game (meaning, learning how to give and receive more at the same time). I intend to always be learning.

      Participation is key to learning!

Thanks to all who are plugged in ,growing and contributing!

    48. @Brandon Potter,

Yes, sir. We do this because we love it. It’s our passion. So in terms of where to get started, I want to just relay this message because you said you were a RPro since the early beginning days. I have a teaching background, so it’s natural for me to want to teach, lead and be compassionate to anyone who puts forth an effort and wants it as much or more than my desire to teach them. That said, when I came aboard as a RPro in June of 08, I saw this quality in Mike Klingler. I said, Wow, there is a teacher who wants this more than me and has their act together and is pulling it off. In that respect, I gobbled up the tutorials not just for the step by step and click by click know-how to facilitate easy use of the social platforms, but it was to listen to what he was saying. Back then, my only access to Mike was via those tutorials. And that was my passion. Is it any wonder that now I share a beverage with him and talk about how we can lead this new movement of passion driven entrepreneurs? Nope.

Thanks for joining us tonight on the webinar.

I am creating my website (started beginning of this year), I am still working half time so it takes some time. But I will get there. Content creating is not my strongest point. I look forward to these webinars even with some delay, since I am on European time. Thanks Eric.

I have a small home business, actually mlm. I need to know how to get more traffic to my website once I get it set up. I am a student of RU and I was a professional for a while, then left. Now I am coming back. I would love the personalized marketing plan with your help!! Keep on being you!
      Thanks,

    54. Hi Eric,
I’m very excited and eager to get started re-defining my online dreams. I’ve been stumbling through learning this stuff with lots of directions and no true direction. Looking forward to narrowing down and focusing on what works. I’ve been a member of Renegade Professional and U. for a couple of years. Attraction/direct marketing sidelines 10 or 15 years. I have arranged to take time off from my work to get in on your training. Hope to get “Smart Beginner” Customized Marketing Plan! (one way or another)
      Thanks

When I went there it told me that I was successfully in, then “Thank you for attending Smart Beginner Training Webinar Starts Thursday (Register Below)” Then nothing happened and there didn’t seem to be any more links to follow, so I am feeling disappointed that I have missed out.

    61. Hi Eric,
Thanks for the great webinar last night. I joined Renegade Professional last year but I stopped viewing the video tutorials when I became a primary caregiver to my mother-in-law. Consequently, my learning process to become a successful net marketer was put on hold. I decided to return this year and I am overwhelmed as to where I should focus myself. Last night’s webinar opened my eyes that I have all the tools I need to learn at Renegade Professional. Using Kaitlan Rose’s achievement as an example was very inspiring.

    62. Both of the webinars so far have been very very helpful and I am so glad that they are recorded for review.

These tools as @Michael Wilson said will wonderfully complement the one on one trainings being offered by Renegade Professionals.

Great service Eric, great demonstration of the process and results.

    64. I would love to be selected for a customized blueprint. Here’s my burning question. Is the customized plan available to purchase in case I’m not selected? I just signed up for Renegade University but haven’t even looked at anything yet. I woke up this morning, checked my email and saw one from RU so I clicked and it took me here. Looks really good. I’ll definitely sign up for the webinars and look around the site today. I’ve been messing around with the internet and would make the perfect poster child for buying and trying a lot of different things. I haven’t made my first dollar yet but have a lot of tax deductions LOL I’m 55 years old and lost my job. I’m starting over and need to learn a new ‘marketable skill. I can’t think of anything better than attraction marketing.

    66. Really thank for your offering, your time and your heart! Yes I would like to receive the Personalized “Smart Beginner” Marketing Plan to grow my business online. I am a network marketer for quite a few years and only learned to build the biz offline. The progress is not so good as I expected. When I learned about attraction marketing (via the book Magnetic Sponsoring) 1.5 years ago, I am excited about the concept and started to do some online marketing using PPC but not successful. When I recongnized Renegade University and Professional half year ago, it gave me hope again to grow biz online. While I had read through quite a few tutorials (not yet write any articles), I understand that building a blog and/or my website is important to drive traffic (correct me if I am wrong). To me, it seems building a blog is simplier (i.t.o time and content) than building a website (I am not an computer expert) but since I am staying in China, I cannot access to http://www.squarespaces.com (this is taught in tutorial to build the blog) and hence I cannot build the blog through this path. Wordpress blog seems very complicated to me. Another situation is many social media e.g. Facebook, Youtube were also blocked in China. Hence I was limited in some way to build my list. Hence, I strongly believe that the personalized ‘Smart Beginner’ marketing plan will let me know what and how to move forward. I sure will attend every Thursday webinar. Looking forward to your help!

    69. @Amanda Law,

If you aren’t able to access Facebook and Youtube (and Squarespace) you are limited in a big way. There is no question that that is a significant impediment. Now if China loses Google, which I have you may, then the ante will have grown.

Off the top of my head, I want to give you a few suggestions:

      1. Begin using Twitter and the search function quite exclusively. This is going to be your way to connect with people.
      2. Begin to use a different video service like Vimeo or Viddler.
      3. Use HubPages — a lot!
      4. Set up an quick and easy to use Blogger blog – will take 10 minutes and suffice until you can build using Wordpress.

      Keep in touch,

Maybe you’re a beginner with the internet. Doesn’t matter how old you are, we all must begin somewhere.

And if you’re not a beginner, when was the last time you actually walked two moons in a beginner’s moccasins?

So whether you are or you aren’t a beginner, follow along with me. We’re going to get back to some core fundamental understandings in this article that will benefit everyone.

If you’re new, I know this will help you.

If you’ve been around awhile, this is a vital reminder you don’t want to forget. The thing is…so many of you do forget, and that is why for many, your business continues to suffer.

So again, I urge you to read closely. Don’t skim. You’re going to want to read this entire article (especially the ending because aren’t endings supposed to be happy).

Okay, let’s get started shall we.

Now, it’s hard to deny that the internet is ripe with opportunity. That is stating the obvious.

Yet the dominating question remains because you’re asking yourself this right now, How do I use the internet to build my business? Or maybe you don’t even have a business yet, but you know you’d like to have one with all the advantages that an internet-based business offers.

Millions, literally, millions are asking this question.

You’re probably also asking Where is the most important place to start? and How can I get started if I’m on a shoe-string budget?

And contrary to what you may have seen or heard, you really don’t need a lot of money to get started. Not here anyway. Don’t worry, everyone is tech-challenged at first. We quickly lead you through that.

There is an answer to these questions. There is a solution to these problems. After all, that’s what this is really about. It’s what we call value.

For almost three years now, smart beginners (notice I didn’t say “newbie”) have created a free Renegade University profile.

We simply call it RU, and it’s where smart beginners walk through a simple three step process of click by click set-up-your-marketing-as-you-go training tutorials even if you’re tech-challenged, and no nothing about setting up a business on the web.

RU is a great primer to learn how to be seen as “attractive” using low or no cost methods such as blogging, internet marketing and social media.

The natural progression from RU is to upgrade as a Professional member so you can take you’re the marketing of your business to the next level.

It’s at Professional that we teach you many different marketing methods. You can choose your favorite one(s) to create a constant flow of leads, while attracting the best ones to your business.

And for thousands, this has worked. Seriously! Here are just a few Renegade Professional success stories. Take a moment to follow this link and see for yourself (but be sure to return to this article. I haven’t even started with the best part yet). LINK.

The Renegade Professional team would be remiss if we simply rested on our laurels. With the turn of 2010, we have set some lofty goals.

We want to help support and guide as many smart beginners as we can reach. And our reach extends pretty far. But we’ve decided to start in our own backyard with all RU students and Professionals.

We’re going to take you through the process – from zero to traffic; how to turn that traffic into leads for your business, with examples along the way.

This can be accomplished, as it has been accomplished by so many already, using the Renegade Professional training to market yourself to a targeted group that consists of people actively searching for the information you have.

We’re Starting a Series of Smart Beginner Training Webinars — Live Event Every Thursday

This initial webinar training series will be specifically tailored for current RU students and new Renegade Professionals. You’re considered “new” if you’ve been a Renegade Professional for 90 days or less.

But it’s also completely understandable if you’ve been a Renegade Professional for awhile, and for whatever reason or another haven’t put it all together to create an optimal online presence. This training is for you too.

And here’s a big perk for all you seasoned Renegade Professionals who have leadership skills or are established marketers in your own right. It makes a lot of sense for you to refer your new and existing referrals to these webinars. It’s a win-win if they get the much needed guidance and support while you get the residual affiliate commission.

We like win-win. That’s what we’re aiming for.

The Smart Beginner Training Webinar Series Will Be Broken Down into Chunks so You Can Start Going & Growing without Stress or Expense

The benefit of attending these webinars are several, but in particular, you’ll have a “leg up” on how to use the Renegade Professional training to win big with your internet based business.

Here is just an appetizer of all the things we’ll cover in these Smart Beginner Training webinars. Follow this link to get a full preview of some of the big topics we’ll be covering –> Support for Smart Beginners – Getting Support While Getting Started.

—>How to use Renegade Professional to build your business even if you don’t have one yet (but especially if you do).

—>The most important place to start, and how to customize your Renegade Professional training (along with tips about how to navigate around your back office).

—>The bare minimum you need to have set up so you can be up and running sooner than later. You’d be surprised at how many people actually DON’T take these steps. We’ll walk you through them.

—>We will eliminate the confusion about what you should be learning and in what order. Do you know how to eat a whale? First, identify the parts, and then take one bite at a time. We’ll show you the parts, and give you a fork.

—>We will demystify what you should be doing with social media marketing. You’ll understand HOW and WHAT to do once you create an article and publish it on the web. You will know what that is supposed to do for you.

Lastly, it’s a fact that most people don’t realize successful online marketers focus on building lasting relationships with their customers, rather than pushing their deal, and spamming their products and services.

You will benefit from the knowledge we share so you are doing the right things, not the wrong things.

Do This Next (Don’t Skip this Step)
Important How-To Information to Access the “Smart Beginner” Webinars

But first, I just have to say this because you must believe this to get started… Okay, ready? Read this last part closely (You’ve made it this far. Be sure to finish strong!).

No matter where you are in life, young or old, on the top, or on the bottom… Whether you are unemployed, or currently a professional, or a network marketer or running a non-profit, brick and mortar or small home business, you can do this.

You don’t have to be happy or unhappy with your life’s circumstances. The fact is that you can absolutely achieve your goals and dreams, and do it faster than you imagine.

There is no question that you will have to work for it. But I assure you (I am my own proof), that the biggest rewards demand your full participation. When you expect it to happen with a decided heart, it will.

The Renegade Professional Team will Support Your Journey Along the Way.

Alright, now that the pep talk has passed, let’s get down to details. First things first, check out our scheduled “Smart Beginner” webinar training series by following this link –> Smart Beginner Training Webinar Preview

    5. Hi, Eric: I’m looking forward to this training! Yes, I’m ready to be chosen to work with you! I have multiple ideas to somehow be “threaded” to each other:
1…A new network marketing business to include health, wellness and green-friendly-for-the-environment products to cover both retail sales and create a team of high-energy “business-builders”. This will be one of the foundations so I can eventually quit my day job to become a full-time business entrepreneur.
2…Real estate investments starting with pre-foreclosures (I will start training in March, so it’s long-term and will eventually become a future income-stream foundation.
3…To work as a nonprofit “Chaplain Kelley Care Center” (I received my credentials last October in 2009); to buy a 3-to-5-acre “mini-campus” with multiple dwellings/buildings within a serene environment to schedule safe meetings to help people in crisis, for recovery and restoration and using “therapy dogs” that will be raised within this environment to help minister to unhealthy people and also for search and rescue when needed.
Thank you for whatever help you can provide me so I can become a “Smart Beginner”…again!

    8. I’m interested in the opportunity to be chosen for the SB Personalized Marketing plan. My hesitation in responding before now is if I’ll have the time to implement this, but I want to learn and succeed so very badly. Been with Pro for a year now and allowed myself to get overwhelmed, “stuck” on the niche thing, and never move forward. Attended our first LIVE event in Portland and want to take that energy and do something!

      1. Yes, I have a business.

      2. Classified both as service provider and network marketer, although current focus is on the network marketing side – signing more people into ‘my deal’.

      3. My burning question is whether or not my niche is feasible or do I really have it focused enough? or maybe, what is it, if I’m not really there yet? I feel like once I figure that out, I can really soar with the training Pro provides, but really struggling with this “first step”.

    9. Eric,
I am noting how Renegade Professional is taking steps now, that we are well established to make sure that we are “leaving no Renegade Behind” !

These webinars are very timely for the surge of new students.

This training is a great encouragement for alumni who are not willing to give up because they know the answers are within Renegade Professional. It takes fitting the pieces together for each participant.

I like that you are pointing out the first steps, making sure the foundation of the marketing funnel will be established well.

      online community around her passion,

      Comment by Pat Campbell — February 28, 2010 @ 1:14 pm

    10. oops, somehow hit the “submit” button too fast!

I was saying that Kaitlin’s online presence with http://bringbirthhome.com is a great example of what can happen by following the steps outlined in R. Pro for building your marketing funnel.

So, as alumni, I’ll be there. I want to be the best support I can be for my new students and learn as well.

Once again Renegade Professional stands above the crowd providing this kind of training and support.

Mark Hoverson’s approach to marketing and sales might feel new to some people in our Renegade Professional community.
Raise your hand if you were a cross between completely in awe amazed and impressed, with a twinge of “ooh, you are so full of yourself, and I know what you’re doing” combined with “but you know what, Mark is spot-on?”
    Weird huh?
Most gurus and guru-wanna-bes and everyone in-between teaching “how to sell online” are still in an older model that relies on frigid cold traffic from something like SEO or Adwords. I’m not saying NOT to properly SEO your content, and I’m not saying Adwords is no good (trust me, it’s good).
The thing is… customers (buyers) are now using the web differently, and therefore we are seeing a different relationship amongst the people selling information with the customers who make the purchase.
But we still have to use effective selling techniques. Just holding hands and singing around the campfire doesn’t magically make sales leap into our shopping carts.
This is where I see Mark Hoverson’s Leadership Branding for Direct Response project can immediately help you make more sales while branding yourself as a leader.
With most skill sets of this sort, people learn more by modeling than they do by going back and figuring out the underlying principle. Mark Hoverson delivers both in Leadership Branding for Direct Response.
Here’s what I mean…if you have studied Mark Hoverson throughout this launch, what are the couple elements that you DIDN’T see. I’ll tell you what I noticed:
No yellow highlighter confusing marathon sales page. There was no sales page at all (only an orders form).
No classic high-hype, squeeze page promising you into thinking you’re the one that can do what’s never been done. (There was a very simple opt-in form to receive Mark’s pre-training videos).
The point is that Mark Hoverson took a more thoughtful approach which worked much better in this “product launch” context. And it’s worth paying attention to, and studying.
The last significant point I want to mention is that Mark Hoverson never assumed (as some internet marketers I’ve seen have) that the buyer (thus, me) is lazy, stupid, hates work, has no creativity, and in general is probably too dumb to work at Walmart, and therefore needs a “push button” solution.
Do you see how much can be learned from simply studying what works?
I gathered all of these things simply by observation before I paid a single cent, and I hope you did too. Because if you did, I think for those of you who were sitting on the fence with mixed emotions could justify the purchase of Mark Hoverson’s Leadership Branding for Direct Response project with logic.
It’s been said that content’s value has never been lower, but content’s importance has never been higher; that if content is King, then marketing is the Queen, (and She runs the household).
Let those thoughts hang in your mind for a moment before you continue reading. Read them once more.
To my knowledge, he’s the first person who ever got both Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard to email their humongous lists for the same offering.
And once people entered the marketing funnel, Mark Hoverson’s content, aka “The Goodie Page,” logged in over 8,000 hours of video watched. Plus a marathon of live webinars with Ann Sieg and an exclusive interview with Mike Dillard (not to mention the MP3 “Insider Talk About Launch” we recorded together).
That’s an excellent example of content being King, but marketing being Queen.
So this is being the review of Mark Hoverson’s Leaderhip Branding for Direct Response that it is, I should get down to the meat of what is being offered for this project.
Here is a breakdown of the nitty gritty details:
First of all, the goal of the project is to build you, build your brand, and integrate that with direct response marketing.
What you will learn is “leadership branding,” which is a new term I haven’t heard before that has been coined by Mark himself.
Leadership branding simply means you’re branding yourself as a leader even if you’re brand new while weaving in direct response into all aspects of your business, which by design, will move you leaps and bounds forward as an online direct response marketer.
Condescendingly, learning this stuff will give you a reason to be on Twitter all day (although at first you probably won’t want to be).
Video is the name of the game, and as a member of this project you’ll learn the psychology of selling through video.

Mark Hoverson’s approach to marketing and sales might feel new to some people in our Renegade Professional community.

Raise your hand if you were a cross of emotions between completely in awe, amazed and impressed, with a twinge of “ooh, you are so full of yourself, and I know what you’re doing” combined with “but you know what Mark, you’re spot-on?”

    Weird huh?

Yeah, he touched a lot of different parts of our brain.

Most gurus and guru-wanna-bees and everyone in-between teaching “how to sell online” are still in an older model that relies on frigid cold traffic from something like SEO or Adwords.

I’m not saying to NOT properly SEO your content, you should. I’m also NOT saying Adwords is bad (trust me, it’s good).

But the thing is… customers (buyers) are now using the web differently, and therefore we are experiencing a different relationship with those who sell information and ultimately make a purchase.

We still have to use effective selling techniques, right?.

Just holding hands and singing around the campfire doesn’t magically make sales leap into our shopping carts.

This is where Mark Hoverson’s Leadership Branding for Direct Response project can immediately help you make more sales while branding yourself as a leader (even if you’re new).

    branding

Old concept perhaps, but new approach. This is something fresh.

And let’s face it, with most skill sets of this sort, people learn more by modeling than they do by going back and figuring out the underlying philosophical principle.

Unless you missed something along the way, Mark Hoverson has already delivered the principle through his free content. He will deliver the modeling and “in-the-field experience” once Leadership Branding for Direct Response gets underway.

If you have studied Mark Hoverson throughout this launch sequence, what elements did you not see?

I’ll tell you what I noticed (and this is something to take note of):

–No yellow highlighter confusing marathon sales page. There was no sales page at all (only an orders form).

–No classic high-hype, squeeze page promising you into thinking you’re the one that can do what’s never been done. (There was a very simple opt-in form to receive Mark’s pre-training videos).

The point is that Mark Hoverson took a more thoughtful approach which worked much better in this “product launch” context; in this new area of “selling online.”

Again, even if you don’t purchase this product, it’s worth paying attention to, and studying repeatedly.

That stuff may have worked in 2006 or 07, but not in this new entrepreneurial era.

I gathered all of these things simply by making observations, and I hope you did too. Because if you did, I think for those of you who were sitting on the fence with mixed emotions could justify the purchase of Mark Hoverson’s Leadership Branding for Direct Response project with logic.

That, or clearly see that Mark is delivering a product that can positively affect what we all really want – to make more money (not necessarily for the material, but for the opportunity to leave a legacy).

It’s been said that content’s value has never been lower, but content’s importance has never been higher; that if content is King, then marketing is the Queen, (and She runs the household).

    success formula

Let those thoughts hang in your mind for a moment before you continue reading.

    Read them once more.

To my knowledge, he’s the first person who ever got both Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard to email their humongous lists for the same product offering (of course there was this guy Mike Klingler who greased those wheels orchestrating this colossal industry shaking project).

Can’t have one without the other.

So this being the review of Mark Hoverson’s Leaderhip Branding for Direct Response that it is, I should get down to the meat of what is being offered for this project.

Here is a breakdown of the nitty gritty details: Leadership Branding for Direct Response

First of all, the goal of the project is to build you, build your brand, and integrate that with direct response marketing. You will come to be familiar with this formula: (You + Branding) + Marketing = Success.

What you will learn is “leadership branding,” which is a new term I haven’t heard before, and has been coined by Mark himself.

    1. I had never heard of Mark Hoverson until his presentation at the Renegade Professional live event. He has a very unique and engaging teaching style that draws you in and keeps your attention.

I can remember saying to myself as I sat there listening to him wow, this is a guy I want to get to know and learn from.

But what really set it over the top at least for me was when I heard him say “What good is off-page optimization (seo, social buzz, leveraging the news etc) if you don’t have direct response.

“I’m really looking forward to this course”

    2. I remember my first thoughts after Mark’s presentation in January at the live event. I was impressed with the results when over half the room got up to sign up for his course, me being one too. But I felt he hadn’t delivered the content he had promised for his lecture.

It wasn’t until I realized that it’s the results that count and his techniques that made over 30 people get up right then and buy his course is what he was delivering.

I am going to learn those techniques!

    1. A new venture deserves new information that will catapult the results toward extreme success. At least that’s the way I am looking at Mark’s course and how it will change the face and way of how I now do my online marketing.

I’m ready for this and it is just a natural progression that will help to brand me even more in my chosen niche.

    3. Lots of supportive training webinars ahead for Smart Beginners either just getting starting with Renegade Professional, or new at Renegade University. Or for those of you who are taking Mark’s Leadership Branding for Direct Response project.

In the coming weeks (months), we’ll cover the following:

Webinar: Attraction Marketing Starts Here – Attraction Marketing Basics, and What You Need to Have in Place (Inside & Out) — I just did this webinar, but I’ll actually re-run this webinar because it is a VERY important place to start.

Webinar: Branding with Blogs – It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard — Using the Renegade Professional training on how to set up a blog with SquareSpace as our foundation, I’ll go deep about how to generate up to 700 direct visitors a month in your first month of launching your blog. It takes a little hustle, but it’s all worth it when you know the specifics.

We’ll make sure new bloggers are reaching the audience they intend to (Mark’s Branding for Direct Response training will do the trick once the visitors arrive).

Webinar: Smart Beginners Guide to Content Creation — This is an important one. This “Guiding” webinar will break through the common blocks most have in creating content for their target market. We’ll be sure you never DON’T know what to write about.

Webinar: Email Marketing – Putting Your Blog Content to Good Use — Often for Smart Beginners, there is overwhelm. There is a lot of set up that is involved with setting up your internet marketing funnel so people can buy from you when you’re asleep, with kids, etc.

To be sure that can happen, everything has to be in its proper place. In this webinar, I’ll show you a few simple tricks that eliminate overwhelm by re-purposing the content at your blog in at least 7 different ways.

Webinar: Lead Generation – Putting the Pieces Together — Why the simple formula of (You + Branding) + Marketing = Success really is simple, and exactly what is needed to generate leads. We’ll get down to the bottom of the over-used word “Value” and discuss what it really means.

Webinar: I’ve Built My Marketing Funnel – Now What? — Once you have your marketing funnel put together, and all the pieces fit, and you’ve even generated a few leads, what happens next? That’s exactly what this webinar will cover (calibration and tweaking).

Spread the word on this. These webinars will be completely free, and open to all Renegade University and new Professionals. Of course, it makes a lot of sense for leaders and top affiliates to send their new prospects and leads to these webinars. We’ll be sure to get them off to a smart start while you earn the affiliate commission.

More about this coming very soon!

Everyone has raving kudos to give the Renegade Professional Live Event. Myself included.

I have to admit, I wouldn’t know. I’ve never been to a live event, but my support desk teammates, Deborah Marsden and Leeann McVey, have, and they tell me the value received at our Renegade Professional Live Event was better than most they’ve attended in the past.

I confirmed this as I spoke from stage. I asked the audience “Is this worth it? Are you getting your money’s worth?”  I heard no dissenters.

And if this is any indication, one of the first things Mike Klingler said to me when it was all over was, “Eric- We’re definitely doing more of these Live Events. I can really see the value of this.”

What I think it boils down to is this – The Renegade Professional Live Event was rich with ideas for values-based creative entrepreneurs, and the content that all the guest speakers offered was in direct alignment with that.

The content from the presentations struck a nerve because they re-enforced that you don’t have to go around being all loud and pushy about your business, and iterated “how you do that” so that your ideal customer will know what you do, in a way that’s not salesy or awkward?

To sum it up, what the Live Event offered was a plan and training that works, which goes beyond just having an opportunity.

If you prefer Mike's new profile pic to the old one (w/ the phone in his ear, leave a comment below).

If you prefer Mike's new profile pic to the old one (w/ the phone in his ear, leave a comment below).

Mike Klingler called it the “value model” from his presentation.

Much of his presentation went in-depth about the exponential earning power of the “value model” (replete with a matrix of the value model — pretty tangible way to calculate the Return On Investment (ROI) of giving value).

I don’t think everyone put it in those exact words, but that was one big “take away” from the event.

We also heard a similar message when Diyana Alcheva spoke in-depth about developing an “internal” and “external” brand, and how that is the driving factor toward being attractive and creating magnetism.

Didi summed up the exact point I’ve been trying to communicate for over a year now.

Jerry and Sharon Graham told of their past and current business experiences, and how they have parlayed the knowledge learned at Renegade Professional into $15K consulting fees for small businesses in their area.

And to think it all started with a network marketing opportunity. Fascinating stuff!

That is the big secret to all of the training at Renegade Professional. What started out as “click by click” and “step by step” internet and social media marketing training for network marketers has transcended into being quintessential training for ALL Professionals and Businesses.

This still includes Network Marketers (of course, we love our roots), but ranges all the way to Non-Profits. The Live Event showcased this fact, and heightened an awareness that underscores the entrepreneurial movement.

You don’t see much content media “out there” from Ann Sieg do you?

Let me tell you… Ann is a ‘dynamic presence.” And this lovely, intelligent and driven person has changed the network marketing world. Her inspired presentation about the power of collaboration was easily made from the same stuff she charges 1K an hour for.

Here’s an example of the kind of influence she had on one attendee (talk about inspiration, huh?! Richard is now crafting an ebook just from the inspiration of her presentation — just one case of how the Live Event produced results for the attendees).

Mark Hoverson was there. What can you say about Mark Hoverson? He’s solid. When he spoke from stage, you find yourself in this alternate universe, and one half of your brain is taking copious notes, while the other half is being stimulated.

Mike Klingler, Kari Baxter and Mark Hoverson

Mike Klingler, Kari Baxter and Mark Hoverson

And it’s stimulation at all emotional and logical fronts. Mark knows how to reach down, and pick the crowd up. He’s his own Renegade, and to watch his presentation is like watching a work of art.

As you consider purchasing the DVD recording of the Live Event, I think you’ll get your money’s worth just by studying Mark’s presentation.

There were other A-list presenters. For example, I could write full articles about both Alicia Bausley and Ty Tribble. It’s a fact that both Alicia and Ty could create info products just from the material they covered in their presentations (and they’re both six figure a year earners).

Mike & Ann presenting together (kicking things off)!

Mike & Ann presenting (kicking things off)!

The Renegade Professional Live Event wasn’t a pitch-fest. It was pure content from stage, and networking off stage both of which have been captured by one of the top video production companies in the land. We hired the same company that has produced video for Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Elli Drake and other big names who make bundles with high quality info DVD products.

The Live Event DVD and MP3 are available for you to purchase so you can enjoy from home or in your car (or wherever).  For a limited period of time, these Live Event DVD and MP3s will be for sale.

I can’t give you an approximate deadline when we’ll discontinue sales, but it does suffice to say that you can’t dawdle on this one.  They will be going off the market soon, or repackaged and repurposed at a much higher price.

Fact is this… from a business prospective, we spent much more than what we make on selling the Live Event recording as a stand alone product, but since we’re still fresh from the event, and excited about the quality of the recording, we said “What the heck. Let’s just sell these at a super low price for a limited time.”

So right now, I encourage you to take a moment of your time to follow this link.  This is a temporary page we put together for you to own the Live Event for yourself.

    2. I for one definitely like the new picture LOL

As many know, we’ve take a considerable amount of time and investment for developing out collaborative projects that help people build greater value and monetize in new ways other than just being an affiliate of something. This has distracted us from our earlier model that focused entirely on the smart beginner.

Great job Eric filling the huge need out there to help smart beginners get to that next level–doing these Webinars will give a big boost to the momentum in the community.

    3. It was an extreme pleasure to meet Mike,Ann and all the other presenters at this first ever live Renegade event.

And I totally agree with Mike, we should and I’m sure we will do more of these events in the future. There’s something special about the Renegade community, no hype or hard selling just down to earth folk learning from one another.

I built my foundation using the click by click, step by step value based teachings from Renegade Pro/Marketing Merge.

And have now branched off into other online business endeavors with the complete understanding that Renegade Pro will always be home base.

    4. @Mike Klingler,

I, for one, am thrilled that the Marketing Merge business model is expanding to reflect the changing dynamic that is occurring on the internet. Of course there will always be a place for affiliate marketing, and Renegade Professional continues to be a Smart affiliate program to refer various segments of the market to. But it does hearken back to what I said at the Live Event, you have to own your RPro Training. This will greatly assist a person with their RPro affiliate success as well.

I agree that Smart Beginners are yearning for regular, ongoing guidance and training. And I’ll continue to have regular webinars and Q and A sessions that certainly will help people plug into the specific training at Renegade Professional that is going to move them immediately ahead to the next level of success. Just enough to get them going as long as they put themselves into their business.

    5. Did you ever start rolling a hand pressed snow ball in moist snow in order to make a snowman, Mike?

Even if you haven’t, let me say that the more you keep rolling, the bigger the ball gets, so big in fact that you have to stop at one point because you can’t push the ball anymore. That’s when you start your snowman starts to take shape.

I had been pushing a snowball for quite a while and was even able to build the snowman’s torso while being active in Renegade Professional. But it wasn’t until the live event that my snowman got it’s head.

That event changed everything for me. It actually allowed all the little snowballs that were rolling around without direction, that were to make up the head, to come together into one coherent and focused ball.

I am now actively engaged in a joint venture with another Ren. Prof., introducing entrepreneurial women with a brick and mortar or home business to attraction marketing.

We are giving 3 webinars next week, a day apart, which will deliver huge content to educate them to the proper way of branding themselves as the top fisherwomen in their field, what bait to use and where to go fishing.

Because of PBN, I will be presented as a professionals, business and non-profits online marketing specialist and will be giving the bulk of the webinar content.

I feel confident and solid in my knowledge to do this and that is due to the Renegade Professional program and its focus to detail.

I will keep you posted as I work on completing the face of my snowman by adding some eyes, nose and cocky hat.

    6. It’s true, the Live Event is pivotal for each attendee. It is very cool, that professional recordings are available for purchase for our working libraries and inspiration.

Thank you Eric, for your commitment to the students.

    7. I like @Mike’s acknowledgment about returning to the core value of R. Pro, supporting the smart beginner towards success.
The programs that have been built took focus, but, now provide multiple income streams for everyone.

@Mike, I agree, the new picture is a great update for you. :-)

    8. @Pat Campbell.

Lots of webinars ahead for smart beginners either just getting starting with Renegade Professional, or new at Renegade University.

Webinar: Branding with Blogs – It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard — Using the Renegade Professional training on how to set up a blog with SquareSpace, I’ll go deep about how to generate up to 700 direct visitors a month in your first month. It takes a little hustle, and I’ll show you specifics to make sure new bloggers are reaching the people they intend to.

Webinar: Smart Beginners Guide to Content Creation — This is an important one. This “Guiding” webinar will break through the common blocks most have in creating content for their target market.

Webinar: Email marketing – Putting Your Blog Content to Good Use — Often for smart beginners, there is overwhelm. There is a lot of set up that is involved with setting up your internet marketing funnel so people can buy from you when you’re asleep. To be sure that can happen, everything has to be in its proper place. In this webinar, I’ll simply show a few tricks that eliminate that overwhelm by re-purposing the content at your blog in at least 7 ways.

Webinar: Lead generation – Putting the Pieces Together — Why the simple formula of (You + Branding) + Marketing = Success really is simple, and exactly what is needed to generate leads.

Webinar: Marketing Funnel – Now What? – Once you have your marketing funnel put together, and all the pieces fit, and you’ve even generated a few leads, what happens next? That’s exactly what this webinar will cover.

Spread the word on this. They’ll be completely free, and open to all Renegade University and new Professionals. Of course, it makes a lot of sense for leaders and top affiliates to send their new prospects and leads to these webinars. We’ll get them cared for and off to a good start.

      More on this soon!

In a hurry, and here for the recorded webinar? Follow the link:
Attraction Marketing Starts Here – What You Need to Have in Place

There was supposed to be a webinar tonight for Smart Beginners who are about to upgrade to Renegade Professional, or those who just recently upgraded to Renegade Professional.

“Supposed” to be a webinar, but things didn’t go according to plan. This often happens in business, and in life.

When the webinar software kept booting us off the line, and things wouldn’t start properly, I felt like that guy in the parking lot whose car wouldn’t start.

    You know the guy.

He’s the one with frustrated eyes, and fumes pluming out his ears. You can see him behind his windshield mumbling to himself as the engine groans its last groans like a West Virginia coal miner whose smoked too many Pall Malls.

    Son of a Pickle!

Our scheduled webinar never started tonight.

After 20 minutes of “cranking that engine,” it was futile. The engine wouldn’t turn over.

    (::insert game show buzzer::)

    —————————
    What Happened?
    —————————

I think I have to take the blame on this one.

    Here’s why:

    1. I didn’t realize that there was another webinar scheduled (at the same time)with our Goto Webinar account.

    2. Apparently, you can’t run two webinars at the same time.

    Although, because of #1, I learned #2.

In hindsight, I should have looked through ALL of our webinars (we host quite a few webinars) to see if there was any overlap. If so, I would have caught that there might have been an issue.

Tough lesson to learn. Now I know. I apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.

    ——————————–
    The Lesson
    ——————————–

I could have gone to bed — defeated. I could have pitied myself, or blamed someone else. I could have said “I could have” for the rest of the night.

I could have thrown my laptop out the window (you know the feeling).

    Instead…I took a deep breath.

I came up with a plan, quickly implemented the plan, and I’ll get to go to bed peaceful.

I’ll get to go to bed knowing that I wasn’t a victim of my own circumstance. I’ll go to bed knowing that instead of a bunch of people getting stood up for a webinar tonight, that they are going to wake up tomorrow morning, open their inbox and see this email with a link to the recorded training that was supposed to be a webinar.

And…the entire Renegade University and Professional will also get to see it too.

Often times in business and life, if a bad thing happens, a good thing will come of it.

I believe in that (and you should too).

Below you’ll find top notch A+ content. I encourage you to watch it if you’re having a hard time making attraction marketing work for you.

    —————————
    The Recovery Plan
    —————————

Coach always taught me to brush it off, take a deep breath, and jump back in the batter’s box.

    I’m baaaaaccck.

    Didn’t miss a beat.

I decided to record the webinar we were supposed to have, and give it away to the entire community.

The show must go on, right?!

Everything that you were expecting to receive as a result of registering for the webinar, Attraction Marketing Starts Here – What You Need to Have in Place, will be delivered.

This is solid, free, pure value-based content (and worth every penny).

What Others Are Saying About this Webinar

    February 12, 2010

What an amazing amount of valuable information you provided today.
I feel so much more empowered now. Amazingly, this morning I was feeling
    quite the opposite!

I actually forwarded this morning’s e-mail to a couple of friends who have been
struggling to make their marketing efforts come to fruition (as have I, by the way!).
I really hope they have taken the time to listen to your webinar. Somehow it pieced
together all the bits and pieces that make up Renegade Marketing.

You talked about passion. I understand passion. As a former teacher, it’s something
I have tried to teach students about over the years, especially when writing. You can’t
write without passion. But it wasn’t until close to the end of the webinar when you
brought up the last two blogs and clarified what can happen in a blog that my ‘passion’
light bulb was turned on! I now have a much clearer picture of what this is all about.
Moreover, I have the courage and determination to succeed.

    Thank you once again Eric.

Very appreciative of the time you took to do this video tutorial for us. I am brand new.
This helped me more than ever, all the while clicking play when I needed to repeat
something I knew would be important to remember. Again, loved it, learned a lot,
    and thank you!

Many thanks for doing the webinar Eric. You really broke things down into bite
sized pieces and showed how the pieces fit together.

Some wonderful gems here and great tips. Being in Renegade Professional for
quite awhile now I still discovered some wonderful nuggets that you shared.

I could relate to finding your passion and your inner brand which is what I am
working on at present and you shared some great tips to help me dig even deeper.

I think everyone should listen to this because there is so much valuable information here.

    Thank You Eric,

    Rosemary

    Renegade Professional

    Renegade Professional News

P.S. Now it’s your turn, and your time to build a value-based, heart and passion centered business using the Internet.

Focus on these things at Renegade Professional so you can quickly understand the synergistic approach that combines the advantages of blogging with the leverage points of traditional Internet marketing, and the opportunities inherent within social media. It’s a great formula you can take advantage of now.

Real Talk about the Renegade Professional Live Event 2010!
Everyone has said that the Renegade Professional Live Event was terrific.
What I think it boils down to is this – The Renegade Professional Live Event was rich with values-based creative entrepreneurs, and the content that all the guest speakers offered was in direct alignment with that.
The content from the presentations struck a nerve because they re-enforced that you don’t have to go around being all loud and pushy about your business. Yet reinforced the “how you do it” so that your ideal customer will know what you do, in a way that’s not salesy or awkward?
To sum it up, what the Live Event offered was a plan and training that works, which goes beyond just having an opportunity.
Mike Klingler called it the “value model.”
I don’t think everyone put it in those exact words, but that was the “take away” feeling.
We heard it when Diyana Alcheva spoke in-depth about developing an “internal” and “external” brand, and how that is the driving factor toward being attractive and creating magnetism.
Didi summed up the exact point I’ve been trying to communicate for over a year now.
Jerry and Sharon Graham told of their past and current business experiences, and how they have parlayed the knowledge learned at Renegade Professional into $15K consulting fees.
And to think it all started with a network marketing opportunity. Fascinating stuff!
That is the big secret to all of the training at Renegade Professional. What started out as “click by click” and “step by step” internet and social media marketing training for network marketers has transcended into being quintessential training for ALL Professionals and Business’s.
This still includes Network Marketers (of course, we love our roots), but ranges to all the way to Non-Profits. The Live Event showcased this fact, and heightened an awareness that is superseding the entrepreneurial movement.
You don’t see much content media “out there” about Ann Sieg do you? Ann is a ‘dynamic presence.” And this lovely, intelligent and driven person has changed the network marketing world. Her inspired presentation about the power of collaboration was easily the stuff she charges 1K an hour for. Here’s one example of the kind of influence she had on one attendee (talk about inspiration, huh?!)
Mark Hoverson was there. What can you say about a guy Mark Hoverson. When he spoke from stage, you find yourself in this alternate universe, and one half of your brain is taking copious notes, while the other half is being stimulated on all emotional and logical fronts.
Fact is this… from a business prospective, we spent much more than what we make on selling the Live Event recording as a stand along product, but since we’re still fresh from the event, and excited about the quality of the recording, we said “What the heck. Let’s just sell these at a super low price for a limited time.”
So right now, I encourage you to take a just a moment of your time and follow this link to this temporary page we put together where you will determine that you want own this for yoursel

    1. Hey Eric, you know one of the most important traits of all successful entrepreneurs is being able to think on your feet and make quick decisions.

I loved the way you layed out the scenario of what you did when confronted this problem. Because a problem is nothing more than an opportunity. No need to panic just cool as a cucumber.

Great Webnar by the way, I really enjoyed the section on Internal/External branding because so many people have a hard time figuring this one out when first starting in business.

To all you smart beginners, no need to go anywhere else Renegade Professional is the place to be. Develop a plan and stay consistent, everything you need is right in your back office.

I’ve been a Rpro for some time.
While it could have been discouraging not to be further along, having met all of you at our live event, hearing similar struggles, and KNOWING how real each of you are, I am not. I encourage others to keep on,even if the journey seems hopeless.
Watching this recorded webinar I realized I’m farther along than I thought. I have all of the dots, it’s just connecting a few straggler dots or perhaps rearranging a few lines to others..Instead of the “dreaded” newbie. I can see and even feel now, thanks to all of you , that I truly am a smart beginner. How blessed I am to have been led to this wonderful RenPro family..

When you attempt to play the webinar, your screen will be black momentarily. This is because the webinar is 72 minutes long, and has have several seconds to load. Once it loads, it will play. If, for some reason, your computer is slow, it may take even longer.

    9. Thanks Eric,
I’ve been a member of “Renegade Professional” for several months now and have been dragging my feet on getting started with anything.
It’s not that I’m really dragging my feet, but have been confused on exactly where to start. My biggest passion is “internet marketing” which, as you said, is much too broad a topic to be considered a Niche.
Your would be webinar, LOL. helped get me back on track. In fact, I listened to it twice!
My biggest problem isn’t learning, it’s deciding what to do first and this has certainly helped.

      Duane

P.S. A lot of people in central Illinois say “Nitch” too.LOL

    10. @Duane Ford,

Haha – you have been reading my Facebook status. I received over 17 comments when I posted that about how to pronounce “niche.” Too funny. I think you can pronounce it anyway you want ().

I will tell you unequivocally, you are working on the correct problem. As you narrow and winnow down to the precise audience you want to speak to, converse with, and ultimately serve by solving their most pressing needs, I recommend doing what you’re doing now — commenting, creating content, and building up a network which ends up being your community. By do this, once you are exact and spot on with who you’re wanting to attract and how you can serve them, you have a network backing you up. You have people who will put their eyeballs on your work. This is important because it shows that you aren’t in total isolation. It’s social proof actually (and literally).

Thanks for commenting, come back and join our conversation next time too.

I was ready to give up my RenPro training, blog and passion for my business because of getting a new computer, learning Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2007 and picking up where I left off before the holidays just seemed overwhelming.

In watching this video, I realized I have learned a LOT thru RenPro and you added the missing pieces of how and what I can do to get back on track and renew my passion for my niche and primary business. The examples were extremely helpful in understanding more about where, who and how to connect with others of the same interests.

Although, I’ve been with RenPro for six months I’m excited about your Smart Beginners program!!!!

    20. Hi Eric: I am soooo looking forward to this webinar. I joined RenPro in 2008. I was very excited to do so because I felt with someone showing me click by click, how could I go wrong. I got hung up on Squidoo and have been in a tailspin every since. I have gone through several other tutorials but have not been able to put things together. Additionally I went through RBMP, which without a good foundation, was also over my head. I am anticipating these webinars to help me become a “smart beginner” this time around. But I refuse to give!!!

    21. Thanks so much Eric – Great content! I especially appreciated the demonstration of how the marketing funnel works and the reason for having “Point of Contact” content in place. Also, the emphasis on narrowing your focus to identify your niche – aligning it with your passion was a great reminder for me. Stop going off in every which way!!! Overwhelm and confusion is all that comes out of that.

Can’t wait for the next webinar Thursday night. Thanks for bringing it into focus.

    22. Hi Eric,

With my basic website set up, a free e-book completed, a lead capture page in progress, your webinar series has appeared at a great time.

Keeping focused with so many new tasks to master, so many varying courses to follow, videos, webinars, copywriting audio recordings, books to read, and hoops to jump through with limited time in which to accomplish all of this, your guidance is a welcome addition!

I look forward with relief to joining your weekly webinars, and I hope you will record them for those of us who may be unable to join them live.

    31. Thank you, Eric
Your webinar was just what I needed now. I have been a Renegade Professional for some time. I need to refocus my attention to build my business. I’m not sure of my niche has of yet, but look forward in finding my niche.

    32. Eric,
I “heard” for the first time how to follow my passion when you described the mom who has the home birth site. Let me be clear, this same thing has been said before, maybe many times before, but I heard it tonight. Thanks!

    33. Eric,

This is THE MOST INCREDIBLE TRAINING!!!! I just finished listening to it and taking notes. During the course of the past 70 minutes, I’ve identified my niche–finally–and I feel as though I’m on fire to move forward!!

Several months ago I connected with a fabulous coach through Renegade/MarketingMerge/Coaching Cognition. Through her patient, consistent guidance in helping me to peel back the layers and really get in touch with myself, I began the “journey” to finding my niche.

This pre-training for the Smart Beginners weekly webinars, in combination with the superb
coaching I’ve already been receiving, has moved me to the place of being sure of my niche. Your emphasis on drilling down to my deepest core passion and making that my SINGULAR FOCUS “clicked” during this audio!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

    35. @Martha Bush,

That’s what we call an “ah ha moment.”

I, for one, have a titanium skull with a hoard of guards and gate keepers that don’t like visitors. That’s why I, honestly, went through many many of the Renegade Professional tutorials three and even some four times. It took me awhile to internalize these things.

By no means am I implying you are hard headed like me, but I am saying that for the majority of us, exposure to the same concepts over and over creates a sort of muscle memory, and before long, we’re just doing it because it’s natural and it’s the unique “us” that is “you.”

      Thank you Martha

    38. Eric,
Great webinar on setting things into prospective for everyone. I know how overwhelming it can be trying to learn all of it. I feel like I’ve been spinning in cicles for the last two months. This was what I needed at this time to slap me in the face and say wake up. Time to get moving forward and upward on the road to sucess. THANKS

    40. I signed up with RU a couple of days ago, but did it only half-heartedly because I have been disappointed so many times before with other programs. I just finished watching the above video and feel that a prayer has been answered. I love the way you teach! Your teaching style was a great example of how to eat an elephant. If the rest of your training is this good, I won’t ever need Viagra again. LOL

    44. Thanks Eric I am impressed that you were not set back by the set back and carried on anyway. Glad you did I enjoyed the video.

I have not signed up for RenPro but intend to. I am currently working on content with an SBI site that is going great and got turned onto RenPro from a contact in Florida. I am almost ready to start expanding my feeder lines and building up a funnel and recognize I need RenPro to do that. I am totally sold and will take that next step shortly.

    What People Are Saying...

I have been a whirl wind since I joined Coaching Cognition. I went to the live event and moved on to PBN. I am making friends in the community and understanding Internet marketing a little more each day.

Patrice and Mike did an excellent job of defining what PBN is and the 12 week plan in the Green Room. I am happy the training will be on Mondays as not to interfere with C.C.

I listened to Scott this evening on being focused on a couple areas in the Renegade rather than taking on everything all at ounce. It is making so much sense to me. I can hardly wait to begin Marketing with Scott. He is another EXCELLENT Coach.

Later in the evening I had my Peer Coaching call with Tom and before I knew it I was setting a goal for the week of getting my blog up. What excitement for me. I am moving on with Steve Anderson and his tutorial on Word press to accomplish this goal.

Thanks for making this adaptable for beginners on the Internet! I really feel connected, not overwhelmed and lost.

    Heather
